Setup the shuttle at PS6 at a 45* angle across from whatever is setup. Put the Decimator at range 2 from that at PS8 with a focus. First turn go straight in, assign Kylo, and start firing. Let Vader/Gunner/Vader do their thing and trigger Kylo on top.

That should have something very dead and their fleet running away, give chase and with any luck the engine upgraded shuttle can pincer them in.

A score to settle is wasted on rac since you are already giving a focus from dormitory and rac ability already. Better off with adaptability for ps 9 or even crackshot to make a damage stick with kylo

That's a good point, Adaptability would be worth the loss of initiative bid.

adaptability is also 0 points

Vader don't trigger kylo, is after attack. And kylo is only trigger in a attack.

Take adaptability or trick shot over ASTS and change Vader and gunner for palp and you have nice list for casual game or local store tournament

Unsure what you are getting at. Vader absolutely can trigger Kylo's ISYTDS. That's actually the whole point. Do an attack, it misses, use Vader to get a crit, that crit is the assigned pilot one off of Kylo's ISYTDS, gunner triggers so you shoot again, if that hits and it's still not dead, then Vader again. Or hit the first time and don't trigger gunner, still does Vader/Kylo.

Vader cannot trigger ISYTDS. At least not after the 17th. It's in the new FAQ.

Vader crew never could trigger ISYTDS since it is after an attack, nor during an attack. The faq clears this up.

Ah, I was unaware that the new FAQ changed that interaction. Either way, it's still a viable build. You'll get a crit sooner or later anyway to trigger Kylo.

It's all about getting the Decimator into a ramming position in the first turn anyway.

The new faq don't change it, is same iteraction... ISYTDS is during atack and Vader after attack.

How do you attack so soon? If someone is flying slow, you won't hit them, and you focus will be gone.

dormits allows ship placement at range 1-2 of him. RAC gets placed with a sliver of his base at range 2 to dormitz and he is able to easily engage turn 1

And that's the bingo of the whole list.

I see your idea but I'm not sure if your aware of how risky this is, if the opponent just turns in they will womp you as well. Rac is an arc dodger, kylo is great, but I have rolled no eyes or crits on a range one hoping to blind them...and it sucks lol. And in fact if they are in the corner and they all k turn as their first move, they could potentially bump you and cause you to be in a almost flying off the board type of position.

Just be careful, this is sort of one of those gimmicks that might not pay off so well

And rac can get an attack first turn normally anyway. 4 forward and boost is all you need
