Any new statted ships or just the rules to make your own?
Fully Operational - Engineer Source book Announced
Shipwright has the most active talents I've seen in a tree for a while.
Gunnery, Know Edu., Mechanics, Piloting Space.
Eye for Detail
After making a Mechanics or Computers check, may suffer strain equal to ranks in Eye to convert that many successes into advantages.
Dockyard expertise
May make an average know edu check when at a dock. If successful, the cost and time for repairs is reduced by 25% per rank of Dockyard Expertise.
Known Schematic
Bought Info
Exhaust Port
Stroke of Genius
Debilitating Shot
Master artisan
Smart Handling
Once per session, take an action. Make a hard know edu check. Until the start of the next round the ships handling increased by 2 plus advantages. Maximum handling of +4.
Pushing the specs
Perform action when in a starship or vehicle, making an average know edu check. With success, the ships top speed increases by 1 for rounds equal to intellect.
Passive talent called Creative Design (x3).
As part of resolving a successful crafting check, the character may also apply a result equivalent to spending advantages equal to ranks in creative design. The GM may then apply a result equivalent to spending the same number of threats.
Solid repairs and fine tuning as always.
Signature Abilities.
The Harder They Fall.
2 Destiny Points, hard mechanics checks, incidental. For the rest of the encounter, combat checks against vehicles, structures, or droids that inflict wounds or hull trauma automatically inflicts a critical. Advantages and triumphs add 10 as usual.
Unmatched Ingenuity.
2 Destiny Points, Hard Mechanics check, action. Add one item quality (Except Breach or concussive) to a weapon or item you're holding or using. If applicable, item's quality is 1. Triumph add one additional quality to the same item, advantage adds +1 to item's quality rating. Lasts for 2 rounds or ten minutes narrative time. Later upgrades let you add breach or concussive.
This should tide you over while I actually read it.

Sweet merciful crap! My just retired Mechanic/Outlaw Tech/Rigger with a 5 intellect badly needs this tree. Her tricked out X-Wing would blow past any TIE Interceptor or A-Wing in the skies.
Well, time to go fast.
What! Inertia drift?!?
Crafting rules?!?
PS - I hate my mailman, deliver this now!
@Dayham : Talent tree layouts will probably be the next request, followed by weapon/armor/gear/vehicle lists, then crafting. New duties/motivations. Any other things wedged into chapter 3?
Away from book, but saw droid brain detonators. Blow up whenever you tell it to (ie. 30 minutes after the strike team enters the base, as soon as someone in white armor checks my corpse, etc.) No hardpoints required! 1000 creds.
Yes, please do share the spec tree layouts, if you don't mind (once you're back in touch with your book, of course
)!
An easy way to do so might be something like:
Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>]
Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>]
Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>]
Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>] Talent Name [<^v>]
Replacing the "Talent Name"s with the names of the talents (obviously
), and removing the arrows if there's no connection.
Amount of obligation I'll get from FFG if I just take pictures of the tree instead?
Hmm...posting pics of the trees may result in a bounty obligation
(I'm sorry, I'm not actually sure. I just wanted to type bounty obligation.) Thank you for helping those of us who are dying of anxiety to see this book!

People have done it before; as far as I'm aware, there have been no repercussions. However, if you're concerned, typing it out would probably be a better option.
But it's been done, so if you'd prefer to go that route, I won't argue
. If you do take pictures, would you do the Signature Ability trees, too?
Well, no one joins the Alliance for an easy job. Will get to typing layouts.
Rules for converting civilian vehicles to military. 500 creds and hard mechanics adds a hard point to it. However, one drawback ensues, such as:
-1 to handling
-2 SST
+1 to system strain suffered
The engine just stops working on a dispair.
A random piece/system of the vehicle just breaks on a dispair.
Not that I'm volunteering (as it's getting late here), but if you don't want to type in or post pictures, maybe someone would volunteer to type them if you send them photos.
Crafting rules bro! Please! My shipment must not be arriving till tmw and I’m losing it. Lol

Okay. Crafting.
Step 1 : Select template of frame, engine and hull.
Frame is the skeleton of the ship/vehicle. Provides baseline parameters like silhouette, HTT, Max Altitude for speeders, Sensor range, crew, Encum capacity, passenger capacity, and hard points. Lowest hardpoint number I've seen a landspeeder, which has six .
Engines. What you'd expect. Determine speed, SST, and defense. Takes up hard points.
Hulls turn a skeleton into a ship. Determines armor and handling. Can affect encumbrance and passengers. Takes up hard points.
Step 2 : Aquire materials to build these 3.
Step 3 : Construction. You build the 3 things. Every success past the first reduced time by 4 hours, to a minimum of 4 hours.
Step 4 : Assembly. Lego the stuff together with a single mechanics check (modified by previous checks on individual parts), and get to blasting.
Special Modifications type charts for all parts plus assembly.

Thanks guys. I haven't seen that abbreviated yet, so it confused me a bit.
Sienar Sabotaged Technology.
Would you be willing to provide some examples from the various construction charts and the assembly chart? And maybe a few examples for frames/engines/hulls?
