If everything goes as expected, it should change on Wednesday.

Would DoR hit stores tomorrow then?

No, next week. The 22nd, like it says.

With past books, if I remember right, there's usually been a store that gets the new book and sells it a little early. If this follows that precedent, it's possible might get a copy over this weekend.

Everything did NOT go as expected. So...look at it this way: you get to join a very exclusive club: the one for books that took over a year to release...

You can only really expect disappointment at this point, so... just as planned?

Bah! I'm still waiting for GURPS Survivors . I think it's been 24 years since I saw it mentioned; maybe 25.

:P

Oh Fully Operational, why do you so cruelly have to toy with my emotions, you are such a tease and I don't mean that in a good way.

Edit Fully Operational must be a woman because of how "fashionably late" she is, that and most ships are she's so...

Seriously?!?!?!?!

ANOTHER WEEK!?!?!?!?!

Well let's hope we don't get ghosted and it takes another year!!!!!!!!

I was hoping beyond hope it would ship today at the latest but alas my hopes are dashed and engulfed in flame till they have turned to ash

You mean hope we don't get ghosted AGAIN, don't forget that we got caught in the last round of FUBAR too.

I can't imagine there's much that can go wrong at this point. Dawn of Rebellion is shipping, and is on target for arrival on Thursday. Fully Operational had to have been delivered to FFG's warehouse at the same time. So I think they just didn't want to release them one week apart.

Why that is, I'm not sure, because they've done it twice in the past. My best guess is that they don't want two books from the same line releasing within a week of each other: both prior instances of multiple books being released in concurrent weeks had all book being of different lines. But here, since Dawn counts as being part of all three lines, we have three Age books.

If I'm right, there's a chance that we'll see Fully Operational change status next week, [/i]Unlimited Power[/i] change the week after that, and then Cyphers and Masks would bring up the rear.

And , if I wanted to be entirely mad (yes, please!), I could predict that we'll have both Operational and Unlimited Power change status next week, another week where nothing changes, and then Cyphers changing the following week. But although I would love it, I find this option unlikely.

It' always possible they were on different ships or from different factories or even just different containers

Now, keep in mind that I don't know much about the shipping business, but I do know those shipping containers are ginormous. I also would have to imagine that, in addition to volume of cargo, shipping companies would charge an increased fee for taking up space in multiple containers. I would think the laws of consolidation would mean it's least expensive for FFG to have their books in as few containers on as few ships as possible. So while I can definitely believe that they might be taking up more than one for four books with large print runs, I can't imagine that they'd be on different ships.

So since we know that at least one of those containers arrived safely, the odds of anything having happened to the others are much lower. That's not to say it's impossible, it certainly is, but the odds must be quite low.

Sorry for laughing but it reminds me of discussions over GoD and the likelihood of one container falling off the boat.

And we don't need to continue on this topic any more. Let's just assume it's coming out in a month and hope it's earlier... I am SO done with waiting for this book!

Just the thought of Fully Operational falling overboard and being FURTHER delayed makes me... GRRAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!

Bad news, everyone. The ships carrying the books ran into a small... problem in transit. Full update here: Shipping update

I know that's click bait but I'm tempted to click it anyway, I you were @Deslok I know what the click bait would link to (80s or early 90s song that goes like ... I'm never going to give you up run around or desert you... or some such) but I'm wondering what your click bait links to so I'm tempted to click it anyway to satisfy my curiosity.

Don't worry, it's the awesome kind of clickbait. :P

This has been one of those weeks I should have stayed in bed. Except at the moment I'm drop dead tired but can't sleep. The highlights of my week will be hopefully fully operational moving to shipping now tomorrow, the (unlikely) arrival of dawn of rebellion at my FLGS this week, and my group is having our next star wars fog session this coming Sunday.

Fingers crossed. We are SO done with waiting... we hope! And pray! May the force deliver Fully Operational unto us. And by all means expedite it at that! ?

...

...Well, look at it this way: You're career book gets to have a very high honor: the longest development time of any book in the system. That's something, right :( ?

And this morning my car battery was dead (I did NOT leave any lights on and it's a 2017 Honda crv, so at least it's still under warranty), and there is a long wait at the dealer's repair shop. When it rains it pours and that fits with my week.
