Wait...what do you mean, " again ?"

Oh, it's a word used to describe something that has happened before being repeated at a later date. But that's not important right now.

Shame Asmodee and FFG aren't publicly traded companies like WotC/Hasbro. Then they WOULD have to be accountable and tell their shareholders WTF is happening.

God forbid they find a new printer...maybe one domestically located so as to absolve all of these printing and shipping problems. Surely Disney can get them an "in" somewhere.

They are owned by a publicly traded company.
And domestically located means europe as Asmodee is a french company, owned by private equity which is part of a belgian holding. Asmodee's parent company actually has a net income over 500 billion euro per year ;-)

PS. I know I am late to that party.

Shipwright/rigger and maybe modder would be pretty over the top I'm thinking it might let you have a star destroyer as your signature vehicle (ISD's are sil 9, right) being the chief engineer.

Please god no. I am a hotshot and my astromech is going to force me to command her signature ISD if they increase the limits further. She already has a quasar-fire or nebulon as target for our new groups ship .. forever trapped on .... wait, those ships have enough hangar space for full squadrons of X-Wings.

I am on board. I just need a new astromech, :( because my old one WILL go megalomaniac once Fully Operational releases. I kind of liked my old astromech.

No one said the rules were gonna be overpowered, but even if they are able to provide better ships than the standard available in the books I say why not? As you rank higher in your skills you take huge leaps from a rank 1 to a rank 5 in a particular skill. Those rank 5 mechanics are among the greatest minds in the galaxy, so it makes sense that they can do more.

Nah. Those rank 5 mechanics are the same monkeys like the google, motorola or microsoft engineers :P
Skill rank 5 is relatively easy to enquire, it is the int 7 engineers that are ultra rare, so the triumphs are where the salt in the crafting rules is and should be.

Asmodee operates as an un-traded private company and doesn't have any particular shareholders. Its parent company is Eurazeo which is a capital investment firm. They're no more beholden to shareholders than your local hot dog stand. Any sort of escalation or complaint to Eurazeo would be futile at best. The idea here would be that if they're a publicly traded company that a shareholders meeting would be called and complaints or concerns could be addressed. Not so with a private equity firm.

Come on, come on, come on, print faster, boat faster, ship faster, I want to make my own starship already. A cross between a raider, consular, an minstrel. Naratively a re-engineered consular class cruiser, luxury personal vessel.

+1

I'm feelin ya dude. Like tots!?

I just hope it's out for my birthday now. First week of Jan would be great..."Come on, come on, come on, print faster, boat faster, ship faster,"

Looks like my high hopes for Christmas have been alderaan'd

Ok so what I've come to understand from reading the forums is that release dates and schedules for FFG don't really come close to matching. My group are about to finish a long WoTC DND game about early Jan and we have been looking to change from DnD(5 years) to AoR(First Game). My I have two players one that wants to play a Engineer and another that wants to play a Spy, I would really like to have all the options available for them at Character Creation ( Like Duties, Motivations, Specializations and Equipment) what do you guys think the likelihood of Fully Operational and Cypher and Masks being "In Stores" by early Jan. Have FFG made a statement about release dates that i didn't see or is it a when we know you will know sort of situation

Until the status shows “shipping now,” there’s a bit too much variance to really know.

But, Absol is great at crunching the statistics and coming up with pretty good targets.

That she is! And currently, she is predicting both books out by late February/early March. 02/22/2018 for Fully Operational and 03/01/2018 for Cyphers and Masks. It could be as early as 01/25/2018 and 02/01/2018, respectively, but that's only if we get a best-case scenario from here on out, which is less likely.

Is she always right? No, but she gets pretty close most of the time. Does she always refer to herself in the third person like this? Not generally, no; blame Nytwyng :P !

Given that release schedule I could get them both for my birthday or within a week thereof (because my flgs' shipment usually comes in on a Wednesday which means I have to wait an extra 6 days to get it)

I'm on board with getting both Fully Operational, and Cyphers and Masks. My question is, why can you pre-order Cyphers, but not Operational? It severely vexes my OCD that I can't pre-order both at the same time. It's enough to ask me to wait while the item is "in shipping" for a year (even a slow boat to China makes "some" headway). Give me a Pre-order button for Fully Operational please!

Oh, and since it's almost Christmas, would it be too much to ask for more info on the F/D Warrior Sourcebook? Can't find anything on it yet, at all...

That would be because it hasn't been announced yet. @Absol197 predicts it may be the next book to be announced but we may need to wait ... 2 weeks is it?... before the next book is announced so here's hoping that it's the warrior book for those poor lost souls who have been waiting since FND was introduced. Most of us can sympathise with them... at least the bounty hunter book didn't wait to be the final career book. Just the final career book of it's line.

Yeah, poor lost Warriors :( . I was worried my favorite career (Mystic) would be last, and it very nearly was.

We may get the announcement this upcoming Friday, the 8th. If not, we've got one more chance on the 15th before we have to wait until the new year. I think there's a strong chance that the next book announcement will be the Warrior book, but it's by no means guaranteed. We haven't had an Edge book for a while, and there's an unannounced one at SWE15. And considering that that book is almost certainly a Region book, which we also have not had for a very long time, there's a possibility it might be one of those, too.

But FFG definitely appears to be prioritizing career books, so. Here's hoping!

What region books would people like to see? For me it's

1) Corporate Sector (EotE)

2) Imperial Remnant (AoR or General) If general it could also serve as a post RotJ book.

I've noticed from our previous posts and liking of each others posts that we have similar tastes in star wars

Yeah just a little bit ?... although I believe our similarity in tastes extends beyond star wars a fair bit.

I'm married to a very _c_urvey, beautiful, and loving Peruvian woman who is very understanding of my gaming habit hobby and I like mathematical programming/algorithm development.

My wife is similar... 3/4 east Indian 1/4 Chinese from the Caribbean... As to math... Well it's great but I prefer coming up with mechanical ideas, concepts and solutions. In other words I guess I'm a little more hands on with a just sprinkling of theoretical.

*addition*

Our daughter can spend hours at the beach and come home with a slight tan. I step outside on a cloudy day and run right back in the colour of a coke can... Scottish blood is a blessing and a curse.

Any further details on whether this book will include ship construction rules?
