Now that Dawn of the Rebellion has been announced, I suspect any-Pre Ep 4 material will be in there instead.

Yeah, if we get this before November, we'll be lucky. I'm not sure what the holdup is, but it's a ridiculously long one.
Isn't November not Q3 like they promise the book will release? On the built to spec post they said it would come Q3.

Yeah they really need to improve supply out here in the boon sticks of the uk, its getting worse and worse, that or sort out their postage costs from their store it's astronomically ridiculous. The empire built the death star for less, I could get another book for the cost of the postage options they give.

You are absolutely correct: November is in Q4, which is not Q3 like they promised in the articles.
However, my "job," such as it is, on these boards is to track data related to release and announcement dates and patterns to predict how things will unfold. I even have a thread about it ! I won't comment on my track record; I'll leave that to others, but current data very clearly shows that this book, along with the Force and Destiny book Ghosts of Dathomir are severely delayed.
Point of fact, Ghosts of Dathomir was announced on October 10, and was slayed for a Q1 2017 release. Here we are in Q3 2017, and I'm still not certain it'll be released before October. The fact that Fully Operational appears to have been caught in the same accident/mishap/delay that is affecting Ghosts just shows that we shouldn't be expecting our Engineer info any time soon.

Don't take FFG release dates as being set in stone until they say "in stores now."
Granted, it's not entirely FFG's fault, as there could all sorts of delays between when the book is sent to printers and when it hits store shelves, almost all of which are completely out of their ability to control.
The release dates they list are their "best estimate" and from my own eyeball observations, it seems that most books tend to land about a quarter later than when they're initially proposed, with Ghosts of Dathomir being the notable exception (we're in Quarter 3 2017 and still no sign of it).
I don't care about all that, just want my ship building rules! I'll pay for just that until the rest comes...
So, the Updated list got... well, updated, today and the new stuff In Development was put ahead of Fully Operational (and the Spy book and Dawn of Rebellion). Should we be getting worried that something went really wrong?
I swear, if this is actually about Disney's Bothan nonsense.....
Edited by RationalinsanityI doubt it's the Bothan thing, that seems more likely to impact the Spy book but it could be the Disney approval process. That would explain why there has been no official info released about the delay.
FO will be the most amazing book ever due to the amount of time it's been in development. Can't wait.

Why is it just radio silence on this? If there is a production delay of a problem then say so, fans will grumble but will feel better for knowing whats going on. Otherwise we are left to wonder what serious issues may be happening and if that means the entirety of this enterprise is at risk.
Also, if Bothans were nixed for some reason, there should be a comment about why. I've never met a company that is more silent in regards to what they are doing.

That may not be FFG's fault, though. It's more likely that Disney is keeping things under wraps.
