Graf Akbar - a pocket ISD

I fancy giving this a go later this weekend coming.

Wanted a maneuverable list with a couple of sources of decent damage - the AF is just to provide a focus whilst chucking 5 reds at long range. The real damage will be from the pocket ISD; the MC-30 which will, assuming it can get to close range, be throwing 3 red, 2 blue and 3 black out of both sides hopefully getting 2 accuracys (with sensor team if needed) to take out defense tokens. Should easily be able to one-shot most small ships which seem to be popular.

Then nearly 100 pts in a Biggs-ball should slow up any bombers nicely.

More than happy to go second player, first is just a bonus.

Thoughts? (I played it yesterday without the TRC-90 but with more upgrades on the AF and more squads but I think 5 activations is better)

Seems like a fine list, but I gotta ask -why not equip the MC30 with admo, OE and H-9? i would argue that OE is better than one ekstra red dice. Redirecting shield is fine, but I suppose you will run out of it at some point, which is where admo comes in and makes redirects relevant once that happens. Lastly, H-9 will always give you the accuracy to one-shot flotillas.

If you wanna bring some ekstra pain to enemy bombers/fighters, I'd also suggest FC on the AF.

AP is cheaper than Admo - i have been toying with OE and H-9 and then maybe Rapid Reload instead of APT but I lose long range shots and 1 red. Didn't go OE as only throwing 3 black and I can use any blanks for sensor team.

I suppose that might work :-)

I'm just so used to my admo with APT, H9, OE and walex that I hardly ever consider alternatives to building a shrimp :-D

Give that sucker blast doors and it is the stuff of nightmares. At least for my meta :-P

As a long time runner of Ackbar Star Destroyers I offer one piece of advice.

APTs are only value for money if you double arc.

If you don't double arc, what would you suggest using instead?
