When I get a free Action (such as by Coordinate), and I have stress, do I still get to perform the action? Or am I an unavailable target for the action/need to forego the Free Action I may have?

Stress forbids ANY actions - free actions too.

Can you take Actions when you are stressed? Most likely the answer is NO. It doesn't matter who or what is trying to give you the Action; a "free Action" is still just an Action. I believe your Stressed ship is a valid target even if it is unable to take advantage of the free Action so don't even think about it although the rules may allow a full roll back if you can't perform the desired action at the end of a chain of events.

Now note there are something that just tell you to do or more likely acquire something. These are NOT actions and can happen despite Stress unless expressly forbidden otherwise.

No, stress prevents all actions even free actions (save for tycho and "chopper" crew, they don't care...well chopper cares because he tears your ship apart)

And the word "free" is only defined in relation to actions, so if you got a fibbledorp, chances are they wouldn't call it a "free" fibbledorp.

just remember, you can still "assign" a token while stressed, as long as the effect/upgrade doesn't say the word "action".....or flibbledorp
