I have noticed an increasing number of "fix-this-game" threads on the main forum lately. Somehow we seem to have gone from fix-this ship (usually the x-wing) to more fix this "game-mechanics" threads. Some threads of excellent quality, others with "less-thought-through" suggestions. And while I enjoy reading about interesting views on the game and reading about game-mechanics, it can also get a little too much and start to "clutter up" the main forum.
Somehow the Gunboat enthusiasts have mainly kept their posts into a single gunboat thread, which pops up from time to time, this is nice. I myself have posted there from time to time petitioning for a gunboat. Imagine the main forum littered with "I want the Gunboat" threads, yes I like the gunboat, but not to see the main forum littered with them.
The same for the STAR WARS Rebels thread, there are also a single thread where you can read about and comment on the series, and discuss suggestions for ships or characters you would like to see in X-wing. Very nice. Imagine all kinds of "Sabine did this" and "Kanan did that" threads, not very nice. A single thread, where everything is nicely collected, very nice.
I would like to see the same for all these "fix this" "fix-that" threads.
Of course, game-mechanics is much more complex, and the meta changes following releases and FAQ changes. So what dominating the meta in wave 3 is not necessarily dominating the meta today after the release of wave 10.
So, therefore I have started this thread. Named: "State of X-wing [Wave 10]: Fix this game! (Post here)" where we can post and discuss ALL the game elements we suggest will make this game better from where we are standing today.
Then once Wave 11, or the C-ROC arrives, someone else could start a thread there, following the same naming convention, on what is wrong with the game, if any (as the introduction of Jabba is sure to bring balance to the game...)
