The Vong were one of the worst ideas introduced to the SW universe. A piss-poorly conceived "reverse Borg" who were nigh unstoppable. I gave up on the series about half way through.

I really hope whatever LFL might be considering for threats from the Unknown Regions, it's not the Vong.

That said, it could be worse. They could introduce soul harvesting Dinosaur aliens.... Oh wait.

I honestly don't think the First Order are the real bad guys of the new canon. The First Order are definitely the principle antagonists but I feel like there is something far grander happening with Snoke then any of us realize.

I certainly hope Snoke has more going on that being a giant holographic Golem with a crappy name, who turns whiney Solo kids to the Dark Side but really doesn't train them very good so they get beat by every Mary Sue from Jakku.
