Least useful ship in the game and why?

Missiles to taste. One with just Tracers and GC, 3 with concussion, assault homing etc, crane and GC.

Most punch might maybe 1 Black Sun Soldier Z95 with Tracers, GC, Crane (or Deathswitch or Feedback for throw away effect) and 3 Cartel Marauders with Homing, Crane and Guidance Chips (as base attack 3 ships the Kihraxzes convert to a crit with GC), 3pts left.

But probably not competitive enough for the current overkill meta. And the Z95 is probably gonna get Kylo ed or one-shotted.

All this talk about the Punisher being the worst Imperial ship got me thinking of a title for it. Here goes...

Punisher title. 0 points.

once per turn when you are dealt a damage card you may discard a torpedo, missile or bomb upgrade card to discard that damage card.

Everyone says you waste points loading ordnance on the Punisher so this lets you use them like IA to discard damage. You would also be able to ditch an ordnance token for this effect. This would make the Token you put on EM do something other than protect EM from Boba Fett crew as well.

Hmmm... 2pts (2x tracers) for 4 extra health (assuming you're taking EM anyway, to double-down on whatever torp or bombs you've equipped) seems quite potent - once per turn does keep it somewhat in check though... probably deserves play-testing.

It would actually be 5 extra health including the token on EM. I think the real value will be taking munitions that are useful in some cases but that you would be willing to sacrifice like Ion bombs or SC. I might try to play a few games with this to see how it works.

Edit: Actually, there is reactive armor, this does somewhat go along that idea. Of course, someone would probably make it a mod just so it takes up your space for LRS/Chimps/LWF.

Just bump the Punisher's primary to three, it's big enough to justify it and it costs like it already has three red dice. A 0 pt title could do it easily. Now that is something you can easily play test.

That's pointless as the Punisher is about ordnance. sh*tty dial means it's never gonna dogfight, they need loading up with gear.

I think it'd be more thematic to use its ordnance as impromptu flares to mess with an opponent's targeting. systems.

Rebels: Attack Shuttle

Imperials: Punisher or Firespray

Scum: Scyk or Kirrax

Chimps gives a crit instead of a hit for 3 primaries, making missles and torps extra punchy.

Also who says you need to load up a punisher? Or a bomber? Ever heard of the fat beafy nekkid bomber swarm? You could even think of a 3 red dice punisher as a small base Lambda without the crew slots and actual turns. Put FCS on it as well as AT/LWF, have some fun boosting around and trading dice!

It actually just makes the Punisher a B-Wing with understeer.

Hey, I was trying to figure out an easy way to fix the ugly POS that is the Punishest. And anything is better than what it is right now, which is NOT ON THE TABLE.

The Punisher needs a cost reduction and some way to mitigate damage. Give it some way of equipping Reinforced Deflectors for 0 points and a free extra modification so it can take Lightweight Frame and Guidance Chips.
