How often does a faq come out? Since October was the last one probably be awhile.

I think the one before that was in June 2016, so they may be actually getting close to another one.

I guess it really depends on if there are any issues with the most recently released pilots and upgrade cards. I have not heard of significant problems with rulings for Wave 10.

It should hit with every full release and clarify the various issues that have been brought up. It actually does come out close to every release but often not as fast as most of us would like.

The biggest question mark I have is on the interaction between Maarek Stele's pilot ability and Kylo Ren. Since ISYTDS deals a faceup damage card as the result of an attack, and Maarek's ability says "When you deal a faceup damage card as the result of an attack , instead draw three and pick one," how should those two abilities interact?

There also has been ample discussion/confusion adjacent to hot shot copilot and the specific wording on inspiring recruits (what does 'remove' mean specifically). While there's nothing groundbreaking and there usually is a consensus reached it's still good to codify these things officially.

You clearly haven't flown Kylo and Maarek together.

Probably hit sometime in April before worlds.

Maarek's ability doesn't trigger (as per email from Frank Brooks) because I'll Show you the Dark Side deals the crit, not Maarek. I was on the opposite side of this, but on close reading of the cards Maarek requires the attack to deal a crit, which is replaced by ISYTDS dealing a crit.

While they may eventually work their way up to being "official" they aren't always right when the dust settles. Then you get the question of who do REALLY know if the supposed email is legit or not as it is so easy to fake things these days.

Usually around a big tournament especially after a major release they will release a new FAQ. Major tournaments include Nationals and Worlds.

Probably beginning of the 3rd week of April.

All FFG really needs as an archive of email rulings so we can see what has been answered.

We're pretty long overdue a new FAQ at this point. There's are a few niggling questions from wave 9 left, a couple from HotR, and a whole mess of stuff from wave 10 that need official confirmation.

In particular, HotCoP, ISYTDS, and U wing stress K turn are the big ones I think could use some proper answers.

Not to mention any potential balance fixes, and I am pretty sure some are needed...

to my knowledge this is the longest weve waited after having some incredibly puzzling releases. Armada is in the same boat since Wave5 came out in December.

I haven't seen an email response from FFG in regards to anything in Wave 10.

it has been abused in local tournaments and depending on the TO depends on if its a legal move or not. So it would be nice to have it clarified by FFG proper.

I hope that the Epic Scum ship will also be accompanied by an overhaul of the epic rules. Some things could be clarified, reworded and so on. If that was the case then I would not be surprised if an updated FAQ would be released at the exact same time to complement it.

There are so many questions regarding edge cases right now.

I was surprised they didn't have the new FAQ out before the Yavin Open.

I think at this point they have committed to having all the Opens be under the same rule set with no major changes/updates.

Except that they aren't being played under the same rules since too many things are left to judges ruling and I've already seen it being different in 2 different SoS.

We need FAQ asap.
