PILOTS

Dengar [Push the Limit, Extra Munitions, Plasma Torpedoes, K4 Security Droid, Unhinged Astromech, EMP Device, Guidance Chips] (47)

Asajj Ventress [Push the Limit, K4 Security Droid, Black Market Slicer Tools, Glitterstim, Shadow Caster, Engine Upgrade] (53)

I've found Latts crew (at one point less) to be better than K4 for helping Asajj Survive, especially since it works with her ability.

No title on Dengar makes him not much of a threat once the torps are gone.

yeah, you need the title, which takes like all your upgrades. Good news is, these ships are crazy efficient with minimum upgrades.

Dengar (33)
Expertise (4)
K4 Security Droid (3)
Unhinged Astromech (1)
Punishing One (12)

Asajj Ventress (37)
Push the Limit (3)
Latts Razzi (2)
Engine Upgrade (4)

Total: 99

I like that version! consider it stolen! XD

I just ran a Dengar and Asajj list last night against a Baby Blues squad for a down to the wire win. Here's what that list looked like:

Sharks in the Water:

Dengar - 33

  • Predator - 3
  • Gonk - 2
  • R5-P8 - 3
  • Black Market Slicer Tools - 1
  • Punishing One - 12

Total: 54

Asajj Ventress - 37

  • Veteran Instincts - 1
  • Latts Razzi - 2
  • Black Market Slicer Tools - 1
  • Hot Shot Blaster - 3
  • Gyroscopic Targeting - 2

Total: 46

I made the mistake of flying Dengar head on into the squad of baby blues, so I lost Dengar in the game sooner than I would have liked. Also never ended up using the slicer tools or hot shot blaster.

Latts is the best crew for Asajj, every time hands down. Pick the Evade action, plus Latts ability makes her a super tank. Minimum of 2 Evades plus the possibility of up to 4. Latts is only limited to mobile arc and they have a stress. She is great on Asajj.

That's IF you like flying defensively. Some of us are capable of dodging arcs, and therefore don't have to worry bout defence much at all and therefore prefer more aggressive upgrades for stronger attacks. After all, you get points for killing, not surviving a little longer :P

I would argue that if you aren't going to fly defensively then Ketsu is probably the better choice of the two. Her ability favours aggressive play much more than Asajj. If you are arc dodging with Asajj then you need to take both PtL and engine upgrade (which is an awesome combo I use on her myself) which clocks in at 7 points which in some squads is expensive. I think what everyone means when they say Asajj and Latts are the best combo is that Latts directly synergises with Asajj making the most potential use out of her pilot ability.

Busy enough dodging arc, kinda hard to set up BOTH firing arcs at the same time. Run mine with attani, title, and k4. More action economy then PTL, and I find that 100% of my targets don't survive the first tractor beam, so no need to attempt making them stick lol

There is a reason why Paratanni uses Asajj, Mindlink and Latts. For 3 points you get a lot of economy and survivability. At what point did I say that the build is only defensive? To think that is stupid. You can save a lot of MOV on bigs ships by not taking damage. If you survive longer than your enemy, then you do get points for surviving. Plus Frostweasel means Ketsu the pilot, not the crew. More self aggrandising than Trump at a Republican rally, your points are extremely flawed.

I am extremely intrigued as to your methods of arc dodging 360 degree turrets, or swarms of 6 or so ships. You must be a master...
