i will update tonight and have a fiddle with it solo (getting used to it playing solo at the moment)
My main bug was auto bumping (my pc takes 3-4 seconds per click to spin the ships so auto bumping helps massivly!)

Out of curiosity, with the auto bump, does it back itself up if it doesn't fit when it's in contact with the first ship, or does it only consider ship #1 when determining its final location?

yeah, it mimicks the proper rule: backtracking along the path with centered pairs of nubs until a legal position is found.

As an aside, the technology ecosystem that we've created now for X-Wing is really quite substantial. I'll draw a picture sometime today to illustrate! The crew of developers we have working on it would really be the envy of any professional software engineering organization.

Yeah yeah... Just gotta find some time - this month hasn't been particularly friendly for hobbies. I'm transitioning to a new job, so I get to do both the new job and the old job, and then school and taking care of the family. Hobby time has been severely limited from all of that.

Hey, was playing some today, and auto-overlapping worked fine for my list (A-wings and X-wing), but not my brother's (TIE Defenders). The first time, we thought it was related to the K-turn, so he did an undo and did a 4-straight, but both times all that pressing "c" did was drop a 5-straight template behind the Defender. Later, he did I think a 3-turn, and again, all pressing "c" did then was drop a template behind him. I tried performing the maneuver and pressing "c" on my computer as well, since it had already worked with my ships, but we couldn't ever get it to work. (Both of the squadrons had been preloaded from Voidstate Squadron Builder if that matters.)

Are you sure he'd upgraded to the latest version? I had no problems with auto-bump when I've played defenders since it came out. that includes doing 4Ks and auto-bump turning them back around when it puts them in the right spot.

Also, was he using the current version when he made his list, or had he loaded a list created under an earlier version?
