And such things were part of keywords section of CCG's Personalities. Now they're going to be placed in card's names. Honestly, i don't like it but i know it will be made this way.
Well, who's to say there will be followers under FFG? Both they and Personalities could all fall under a single card type.
Hmm, double-posting here is really easy to do!

I'm not saying ther'll be Followers in LCG. I'm just talking that they will move CCG follower-like names into units just like they did in other games.

Kempy, just change your signature to include a cute kitten. That way you won't appear as negative!

Use this one.

"Firestorm Legionnaire."
"Tsuruchi Bounty Hunter."
"Moto White Guard."
"Baraunghar War-Priest"
"Deathseeker Gunso"
And so forth.
Not too bad for some quick ones! I will add this image, and there are quite a number other examples, of generic personalities in the old game. You know, just to remind people of what has happened before.
Oh the times of playing this guy in my ninja deck. I would have use Ogre Bushi or one of the other generic ogres, but I've seen that poor guy numerous times in other threads.
"Quite a number of other examples."
You say quite a number, but as a percentage of total personalities how many are there? And have there ever been any generics with clan affiliations?

Hint? Go to Oracle, filter by Followers. Change plural names to singular. Done.

I was going to write a post in exact the same vein as yours! I'd vastly prefer that Proper Names be limited to unique personalities, while the rest of the samurai units have, well, unit names. There is an enormous difference between a card having a military unit name and a generic name.
I also like this because that is a great way to expand the lore of the setting and make it feel bigger and more fleshed out, specially when combined with flavor text. Also, when every battle is fought by the same twelve guys, Rokugan ends feeling like a province instead of a goddamn empire ...
Edited by Mirumoto SaitoI love it if all named personalities where Unique but the non unique were just have names like "Disciple of the Niten".
I remember back in the day AEG did say that the non unique personalities represented both the character, and other such samurai serving the clan. So at least there was some intent that "No, these 3 Mirumoto Daini are not all THE Mirumoto Daini". And there was also precedent in Shadowlands and Naga for example "Ogre Bushi" and "Naga Warlord" were very impersonal card titles, but they convey what that card was representing and what it should do.

What is a niten?

Forgot about The Dark Path of Shadows or any Shadowlands Horde box? Naga and Ratlings also had generics too.
We also have the Unicorn.
Even the Spider had a generic
Niten is the Mirumoto sword technique where the samurai uses two swords.
My point is that not that generic nameless personalities didn't exist, it's that they were the exception rather than the norm, especially for human personalities. I would say there were "a few" examples, but I don't know if I'd say "quite a number", especially in view of the total number of personalities printed.

In game it's the Dual Wielding Technique that was developed by Mirumoto.
In reality it is based on Musashi's Niten Ichi-Ryu (loosely translated as 2 Heavens - 1 Earth) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niten_Ichi-ryū

Pretty sure Sparks was just being a bit of a jerk, guys, about "Diciple of the Niten," when it would properly just be "Disciple of Niten." He's been playing a good long while...

Well... I can be a bit of a jerk sometimes, but I really didn't know what a niten was in this case. I've seen the term thrown around before, but really had no idea what it meant.
Well, lookee there! I love being wrong sometimes!
