Spacetug Tractor Array

By Lord Bugatron, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi Guys,

Have flown the Quadjumper a couple of times now with the intent of using the spacetug tractor array. I was using this as the 3rd ship in a Bossk/Kavil list, so tried to keep the points down Setup for the QJ was;

Jakku Gunrunner (15)

- Boshek (2)

- Spacetug tractor array (2)

- Seismic bomb (2)

- Scavenger crane (2)

With the low PS he moves first so often find that when I've moved I'm not in a position to use it because it's an action. The times I have found maneuvered to get into position it's either because I've barrel rolled (and used my action already) or used a backward maneuver and are stressed. All this while trying to do it out of their arc so as not to get obliterated by a range 1 attack.

Any tips on getting to use the tractor array?

Pattern Analyzer is your friend.

I don't consider myself an expert on Quads, but I fly them like every other day, now. Pattern Analyzer is the best card on them. Boshek is weaker than Intel Agent, I promise. Bombs and Crane aren't great either. I suggest this:

Unkar Plutt

Spacetug

Analyzer

Intel Agent

(Optional) Cloaking Device

As for your main question. I would fly them very slow. It sounds weird at first, but then you can see what your opponent is doing. Fly in, take your chance, use your Spacetug, then have your other ship rek them. Hope this helps.
