My idea on how to fix the X-Wing
i think a title that allows it to equip free astromech would be intersting and it would give the xwing more longevity as new upgrade astromechs were released.
many here have suggested a title that allows additional movement options such as fee boost or barrel roll. the same thing could achieved with a free astromech.
a free proton torp is also an option here but as we all know ordnance is only really good on high PS ships or lists that pass TL or a deadeye focus to the ordnance carrier.
just printing more pilots or reasonable versatility would increase the xwings popularity.
Hobbie is actaully a great option vs mindlink squads with his stress giving astromech on board so if the astromech was free i think it he could be very strong.

Even if the cost were 0 points it would be pretty good. But at –1 point, it allows 5x Rookie Pilot + R2 Astromech + IA.

Yup, a royal guard tie type title for T-65 X-Wing would do wonders. Maybe Rouge squadron X-Wing? T-65 X-wing only specified.
I also think a negative point torpedo refit (like the A wing) might help but that might be over the top.

Disallow it on ships with tech slots, you can fix the X-Wing, Y-Wing and E-Wing in one go.

We need stop stacking more dice and tokens everywhere. If AWings, XWings, and YWings could strip ships of tokens and reduce dice pool down to printed values... We'd be close to balance in the Force.
Just need to give TIEs (Ln, Interceptors, Bombers) a better (title?) swarm bonus then I think all would be good.
A trench run or scariff expansion could do all of this

Really that depends on whether or not you think T-70s should be improved as well. If T-70s need help, then your suggestion would be fantastic. If they don't, then the title card would be better. I've also thought that IA could be extended, as is, to all ships with astromechs without any real problems.

Autothrusters works better the higher PS the pilot is. And IA isn't quite good enough for the lower PS ships to want to use. So yes: I think the T-70 could use a bit of help as well as the T-65. And I don't think we'll see the T-70s that _don't_ need help forgoing Autothrusters.
