In casual play I'm wondering which list would stand more of a chance.

I've had varying success with Suhlak's current build and don't own guidance chips. I sometimes switch out lone wolf for VI.

Within the M3A list I've considered switching Serissu out for another TPV with crackshot which would come out to 100 points as well. I'm only using the heavy scyk title for a cheap hull upgrade and that's all.

My opponents are mainly rebel scum and sport Corran Horn and Miranda Doni frequently, regenerating and dishing out the hurt...

Any advice would be very much appreciated!! Thanks!

I would personally go with the z-95! Drop the stealth device on your z95s and if you have some feedback array consider that. Otherwise throw some missiles on the z-95. Even without guidance chips it can be pretty lethal. And if you have an extra point put tracers on one z95. It can create a chain reaction, and ships like miranda are pretty easy to hit.

As a rebel scum I usually fear alphastrikes, since they murder my ships.

Thanks and will do! I appreciate the feedback! Would you suggest munitions failsafe in case I don't hit? I don't have tracers but actually bought a guidance chips card off of eBay recently after doing some reading on different Suhlak builds. I'm thinking either this....

My favorite N'Dru build is with VI, Chips, Clusters, Glitterstim

Glitterstim is awesome on clustermissile Ndru. Take that instead of cloaking device. He needs to damage as much humanly possible, so glitter is nessecary.
Hmmm about the munitions failsafe.. I am not sure, maybe I like your first variation better. Though do consider giving Kaa'to concussion missiles. He can do a focused consussion missile pretty easily.

Actually you could combine your two lists into something like this:

Serissu gives your guys some defensive rerolls, Ndru flies alone, away from the pack, and you have 3 missiles in your mini swarm. Kaa'to can steal a focus from Serissu to get the perfect alphastrike. Of course it is a shame you dont have long range scanners or guidance chips, but this combines your two ideas I think! The feedback on your binayries makes them annoying against aces and gives you a range 1 bubble to your squad (if they manage to survive).

The trick will be to balance the range 3 between your two hit-squads so you can hit the enemy with both in case he focuses one or the other.

When you're running Zs, I don't believe there's any substitute for quantity.

If you're up to running six ships, you can always do the following:

G-1A Freelancer w/Electronic Baffle x2

Z-95 Black Sun x4

I've run the rebel equivalent to this (2B4Z), and it can be surprisingly effective.

If you're wanting to stick with your original lists, I think either the M3-As or Zs will work. The Zs have one extra health, which can make a little difference.

Kevin

I'm a sucker for the M3A's, they've been a favorite of mine since the Galaxy Days, and they are the only ship I've managed to win a tournament with (2 total).

Serisu w/ AML, Heavy Scyk, Tractor Beam, Stealth Device

3x Tansari Point Vets w/ AML, Heavy Scyk, Mangler Cannon

ModernPenguin - Love this list... I'm honestly thinking I'll just need to bite the bullet and purchase another few guidance chip cards, for zero points it makes all the difference. Also changing the trick shot out for something like adaptability because I haven't got the trick shot card yet. That's awesome man, you've been great at chipping away this list!! I love it!

Just one question regarding Ndru and his additional attack die (pilot ability). Would that make it so guidance chips changes one die into a crit instead of a hit? Same for if any other z95 with guidance chips was at range one? I know range doesn't affect secondary weapons (such as missiles) but for guidance chips and if the z95 was at range one this would make their primary weapon value 3, no?

Underling - That is a heavy duty list and yes I've tried something similar with just one G1A and beefier z95's (love those G1A's!!)

Innese - I've seriously considered that list, just don't have the attanni mindlink cards yet. Did you manage the win with that list there?! That's awesome! Love mini swarms and good flying! Do you ever just use the heavy scyk upgrade card for a cheap hull upgrade?

Yup that's the list I used! The day of the 'fix' I went out and bought 3 more Scyks (Already had 1), then took it to a tournament a few days later and got my first win, then another win a week later at a different store. All-told the list had a 15-game win streak between 2 tournaments and a few casual nights of play, and still performs quite well.

As for just using heavy scyk as a cheap hull upgrade, I've considered it as filler in other lists, but at that point I'd usually just take a Z-95 instead. Part of what makes heavy scyk so great is that for 6 points (title + mangler) you get +1 hull, +1 attack, no enemy range bonus, 'auto'-crit.

Chips only check your printed primary weapon value, meaning whatever the card/base show. So no, N'Dru would not change for a crit.

Tell me I'm crazy with this list.... and I know what you're saying regarding N'Dru and Glitterstim but I just have this image of him making one huge play with his alpha strike and then cloaking and getting the heck out of there hopefully with enemy ships chasing after him while the other four do some damage.. could work, decloaking when the timing is right, dishing out the hurt and then cloaking again. Maybe he'd survive until late in the game as well, decloak and do some damage then... only issue is with that faulty cloaking device not being a guarantee...

Thanks wfain! So I guess that goes the same for range one generic pilots. Cheers!
