The Sith Uprising

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

It is a time of peace in the galaxy. The Republic has flourished once more after the defeat of the Empire so long ago, and the Jedi Order has been slowly rebuilding over the past generations.

Years ago, a young Pantoran by the name of Soulis was sold into slavery by his family. The Hurts enjoy having exotic species as slaves, after all. Years passed, and the young man was moved to Nar Shaddaa. Seizing his opportunity, he utilized his growing mechanical skills and knowledge to escape his prison. He ran for his life, disappearing into the streets of the polluted moon. From that point on, he vowed to free anyone with a similar fate.

Not long after, a Nautolan named Evian fled his homeworld of Glee Anselm. He was at a rough point in his life, and felt he did not belong anywhere. So he set out amongst the stars to find himself. In his travels he happened upon a crowded moon with a sprawling city covering its entirety. Unfortunately, he did not know what to expect. One evening he was cornered in an alley by some common thugs. He got in a few hits before being overpowered. He fell to the ground, the thugs kicking and punching him repeatedly. One of them brought out a vibroknife, but as he did, a stranger wandered by the alley and intervened. A thin blue male used the thug's knife against him, stabbing him in the throat. Without missing a beat, the blue man started throwing punches everywhere. Evian, sensing the opportunity, pulled himself to his feet and helped the blue stranger. They beat the thugs senseless, sending them running. The stabbed thug lay in the alley, dead, the knife protruding from his neck. Evian picked up his knife and kicked his corpse. He then looked at the blue male and thanked him. They made quite a team, and considering the current circumstances, they decided to join forces.

Meanwhile, a skilled Zabrak Hunter by the name of Parak was roaming the plains of Corellia. His target: an Iridonian mercenary named Davik. Parak had tracked his quarry from his homeworld and felt he was closing in fast. Parak was skilled at the hunt. If his target deserved it, he woudn't hesitate putting a slug through their skull. That's what he intended to do to his current target. While on the hunt, he tracked his quarry to the capital city or Coronet. His prey was tipped off and fled the planet. Outraged at missing his chance, he followed his trail to the crime-ridden moon of Nar Shaddaa. Observing his environment, he knew it would take considerable effort to find someone here. He knew he could use help, someone to at least watch his back. A few nights later, at a rundown cantina called the Grobby Gullet, Parak was scoping the area while enjoying a drink. Behind him a brawl broke out. Someone had started a fight with a muscular green fellow and his blue friend. The green man punched the guy in the face, throwing him to the floor. The man pulled himself back up and stepped away. Moments later, Parak approached the two and they share a few drinks. They talk for a few hours and Parak comes to the conclusion that they seem like suitable bodyguards, so he offers to join them for the time being. They all raise a glass together.

Years prior, across the stars at the Republic capital of Coruscant, a young Twi'lek named Jason watches members of the Deathblow Syndicate hack his parents apart. He flees to the lower levels of the city-planet. With nowhere to go, the young man wandered the dangerous streets of the lower levels. For almost a year he struggled, getting beaten up here and there for trying to steal something. But eventually he learned to perfect this particular craft. Mastering the art of deception, he learns he can talk his way out of most situations, and while they turn away, swiping whatever he pleases from them. He gets cocky about his abilities, stealing more and more, some days eating like a king. For years he stole from Crime lords, gangs, anyone who has something he wanted. Until one day he stole from a higher-up of the Deathblow Syndicate - a Weequay smuggler by the name of Lorrig. They heard of someone stealing from them and began to suspect things. Lorrig was quite displeased when it happened to him. Catching him in the act, he placed a bounty on Jason's head. Knowing he might not be able to talk his way out of this escalating situation, he quickly boarded a public transport and fled to the Mid Rim. He went between planets, hiding among the crowd and various transports. He ended up on the moon of Nar Shaddaa, where he figured he would fit in just fine, and would be able to disappear for awhile. He live there for a few years, continuing his trends of stealing and lying, until one day he came across a group of mercenaries. There were a miss-matched group collecting money from various bounties in the area. He decided to talk his way into some bodyguards. He offered his help at various services like stealing and negotiation in exchange for a place in the group and a cut of the profits. The group agreed upon it.

So for the next few months this group gained a small amount of reputation for taking out criminals and various bounties. They even established a slight "friendship" with a Toydarian named Zeyb Rutta. He spoke highly of "his boys" when it came to getting the job done, and especially liked the money they brought in for him. One day he reached out to them with another proposition. He mentioned a simple retrieval contract, and that the client would be paying a high amount of credits for it. They grabbed their gear and set out to the Grobby Gullet to speak with him about the details...
