The campaign pages are awesome, but the stuff with fleets seem kind of over the top. 99% of player will be using a builder anyway. The only really useful thing would be tracking veteran/scarred status.

Agreed.

While it's cool to have lots of bells and whistles, it is also more prone to bugs. I'm still using my a version that has no fleet building functionality.

It's simple enough to type "Gunnery Teams" in one box and "7" in another (and have a cell that sums up all the values). :)

Definitely not!!! I originally only added it assist the local players that struggled to create legal fleets, but I would 100% NOT implement validation had I known how much of a pain it has become. It has, literally, consumed about 99.99999% of all of the development time. I recently almost ditched all validation but I'm super stubborn and want to at least complete it for the current waves.

I only played around with fleet building in the Player FleetSheet tabs and after a quick look I came across these issues, of the ones I remember at midnight ( ) :

  • Weapons Team list contains OffensiveRetro data Fixed
  • At least 1 Gonzanti isn't showing correct upgrade slots They're both showing right for me.
  • Various random numbers in cells Not sure what you mean by this, but I've done a double take to make sure that all the cells are blank
  • No 2nd Turbolaser slot for Empire (Cymoon has 2) Fixed
  • Many ships do not have many of their upgrades turned on when the ship is selected I'm not having this issue (at least not anymore) - I think I know what was causing it for you and have fixed it.
  • Darth Vader Offensive/Weapon upgrade had cost of '*'? Yup, as does Leia. Small cost to pay to super simplify the duplicate check. It counts it as the correct cost though.
  • Chimaera title not enabling Fleet Command cell Fixed.
  • Title and Officer upgrades can be selected for a row without a ship selected Fixed.
  • Rebel fleet sheets don't have a 'Mods' column? D'oh, stupid me. Fixed.

I know, I'm sorry, isn't this thing a royal pain? :D

Edit: Fixed a few more bugs that I stumbled across while loading my own CC data.
Campaign Points
Unhid the Weapons Team for Player 1
Hid the Mod Column for Player 1
Fixed the Weapons team 2 for 2nd+ Imp ship
Fixed the Weapons team for 2nd+ Rebel Ships
Fixed the Fleet total for Rebels to include commander
Fixed the Squadron cost for Player 5

Getting ready to start a campaign. Just curious if @Thraug had a final version to release or if I should snag a copy of @Khyros 's sheet this time.

Regardless, the sheet makes the campaign 100% easier to track. Thanks for all your hard work on this!

Hi. Use Khyros' for now.

Mine is pretty much complete but I've been battling a bug (with Google's ScriptProperties) that has kept me form releasing it. As of right now, the bug only affects future data additions and doesn't affect the script's function. The issue is known, and hopefully Google will fix it, but it only makes updating the data slightly more painful so I plan on releasing it with this minor inconvenience and including documentation to circumvent the issue. Sorry for the delay folks. This script has been a thorn in my side for months.

I would put my vote against just removing all validation, in favour of being able to quickly and easily update it.

Also, I would really like the 8 player version updated (which I know you said you weren't doing anymore due to the extra workload), and if removing validation makes it easy to do it then that's an even better reason.

It's been a long time coming, but I finally completed the updated version. I'm looking for a few volunteers to test a pre-release version before I release it to the public. Please post here if you'd like to test the pre-release version for a day or 2, and I'll send you a link via FFG inbox. I'll release the final public version after any bugs are fixed.

And again, sorry for the super-long delay. Up until this week my time to work on this has been very limited. I'm off for a while so I have time now and this was at the front of my queue! Assembling and painting Legion is next! :P

I can test it for you.

Any other victims volunteers? Ghost, I'll message you a link sometime tomorrow. Thanks.

I'd give it a shot - My group is working on convening a new CC

FFG messages sent. Thanks.

I finally completed and released version 7.0. Here are the details, which are also in the first post in this thread. Sorry for taking so long. I hope it was worth the wait. ?

LINKS:

CHANGES FOR VERSION 7.0:

  • Added data and fleet sheet validation for Waves 6 and 7.
  • Added missing upgrade items to Rebels’ "UNUSED UPGRADE CARDS" list.
  • Fixed bug preventing CR90-B from taking Ion Cannon upgrades.
  • Fixed bug that had Support Team upgrade slot disabled for Arquitens Command Cruiser.
  • Fixed bug not giving Pelta Assault an Ordnance upgrade slot.
  • Changed image sources on 1st sheet because Photobucket sucks now.
  • Changed text color of "SCARRED" items from red to yellow. Changed text color of "VETERAN" items from yellow to bright green.
  • Sorted titles by title name.
  • Sorted ship list by cost.
  • Ship and Squad reset buttons correctly change metadata columns (FLAGSHIP/SCARRED/VETERAN) to the disabled (gray) color. The background of these cells turn green when a ship/squadron is selected.
  • Ship and squad metadata (FLAGSHIP/SCARRED/VETERAN) drop-down menus are restored to default value when they are gray (meaning no ship/squad chosen for the row).
  • Added a check to disallow a Commander on a flotilla.
  • Cells on FleetSheet with drop-down menus behave correctly when a user deletes their contents instead of choosing an option from the drop-down menu.
  • Added ship building validation and processing for:
    • Unique Name upgrades (Vader, Leia), in every fleet for that faction
    • Upgrades with multiple icons (Boarding Troopers)
    • Unique upgrades, also in every fleet for that faction
    • Modification upgrades
    • Upgrade’s with size limitations
  • Added visual indicators when an illegal selection is made. Either the offending cells will flash red or a popup will appear indicating another player on your team is using the limited upgrade you selected. In both cases, the cell of the illegal selection will be restored to its previous value.
  • Fixed all coloring on fleet sheets so that all user-editable cells have a green background.
  • Added an edit handler framework to script, to allow for easier updates and lessening the need to have crazy formulas in the spreadsheet cells.
  • The entire “Data” sheet was overhauled. General data is now in the “Data” sheet and each data type is stored in its own column for easier data additions. Each faction also has their own data sheet, “EmpireData” and RebelData”, and these are also organized by column.
  • Added developer design notes to top of script.

This is awesome.

I'm not familiar with Google sheets, so was wondering whether - if downloaded to Excel - it would be easy to add tabs for a 4th player on each side (4 of us want to run 2 fleets each), or does it all need to be generated within the Google Sheets functionality?

I haven't tried converting this to excel. There's a LOT of JavaScript code behind the scenes, and I have to assume Excel can do something with it, but I never tried it.

The spreadsheet is now much easier to add more players but it will still require some work beyond simply copying one of each faction's fleetsheet. There's a script property that states number of players and there will be need to be changes made to the 'Calculated Data' sheet.

Love this tracker! I've used it on 2 of my CC Campaigns. Are there plans to make a RitR version soon?

Zero%.

Sorry. Too much work for me with everything I have going on.

I am working on one.

I hope to have mine done by the end of this week. At least for testing. Every aspect of the campaign will be fully automated. Everything from what objectives you can take each battle, to fleet conditions based on the battles you fight. It will even only let you purchase Commander abilities based on XP, tiers, and prerequisites. The only thing it will not be is a fleet builder. I am assuming people know how to build their own fleets and there are already good tools out there. The only fleet validation it will do is unique cards for each team. And it will force phase order.

It is close, but the code is a mess. I will get it fully working, then clean up the code later. 😋

My campaign is starting up next week so I've updated my previous hack of the wonderful CC google spreadsheet to include manual token and experience tracking. Token "Economy" refers to what is currently being earned.

Not 100% sure it's working but trying to use an add'l sticker type "<Faction> Presence Est." to differentiate between presence earned on current turn (and hence earning tokens) vs. "established" presence that is no longer earning tokens.

We're running a CC locally, so I took some time and added the SSD, RitR, and Wave 8 stuff to the sheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14FI8BFPzdEEN6m7naGtYSWsuYFEcB8bX79lBrBOxe04/edit?usp=sharing

Note that this is WIP. Among other things, I haven't bothered updating the list of "Unused upgrades" bc it's not very relevant for us. Maybe I'll do it later.

Note that I've DELIBERATELY set all validation to FALSE. That's bc there were too many lines of code in the script for me to quickly update. Maybe I'll have a go later, but TBH it's not that important. We use other builders for fleet building. We only use the fleet tabs to track veterancy & scarred status. If you turn on validation again IT WILL **** THE SHEET OVER. So don't.

If someone spots an upgrade or squadron or whatever that isn't displaying properly, or spots anything else I've broken, plz let me know.

Good idea to disable validation. The validation code is not easy to maintain, especially as more ships and upgrades and exceptions are added.

It should never have been added, but I was in too deep before I realized the maintenance nightmare it was causing. ;)
