Firstly, when the Hunting Horror is sent to the Void, does it lose the Doom that is on it?

Second, what is the point of Shadow Spawned? The text could have easily just been printed on the Hunting Horror without need for the card, correct?

Third, With Daisy and Ashcan Pete, i was able to collect quite a few clues quite rapidly, even with the Arcane Barriers and Locked doors. Sure, they took some damage, lost some actions, ect, but luckily i was able get 6 clues from the starting locations and begin pumping out locations, gained another 2 clues from one of the spawned locations, and then get right to the restricted area and get the Necronomicon, maybe was lucky, but felt like a walk in the park.

Daisy does make investigating super easy, but wow.. this was so much fun, i was stalked a bit by the Hunting horror and managed to defeat it twice, i really wish it attacked us more often honestly, i do love the fact you KNOW it's coming back haha.

Here is the conclusion I came too.

Anything that goes on the hunting horror drops off when it leaves play and goes to the void.

Things that go on the Shadow Spawned stay as it does not leave play, it follows the Hunting horror to the void.

The purpose of Shadow-Spawned as a separate card is so that it doesn't receive a resource the first time the Hunting Horror enters play. And since the resources on Shadow-Spawned are the only tokens that remain on cards that enter the Void, this allows you to place Doom on the Hunting Horror, which go away when it moves to the Void; but still keep resources. Having the Horror's card text say all of that would be an exceptionally wordy card.

I think the VIOD is meant to be distinguished from leaving play/discarded/in the victory display, so I have been playing that both doom and resources have stayed on the Hunting Horror, grim rule and all that

I agree this scenario seemed very easy, as I won it first time through. I find it to be the least enjoyable scenario so far - though I really like some of the player cards!

The Void is out of play (it says so on the sheet), so Hunting Horror leaves play when it goes there.

Shadow-Spawned makes an exception to point #2 by not being discarded, but points #1 and #3 still apply (and other attachments like Smite the Wicked would still be discarded). And since Shadow-Spawned is not discarded, the tokens on it stay. Also, if tokens stayed on Hunting Horror, then that would include damage tokens, which would make the scenario much easier (btw, I don't see how doom tokens could end up on Hunting Horror, since this scenario doesn't include cards that would put any on it).

Right, the agendas add doom on it. But Grim rule aside, it makes no sense that damage tokens on Hunting Horror would be discarded (removing tokens from a defeated enemy is a consequence of it leaving play, not directly of it being defeated), but doom tokens would not.

slithering behind you also adds doom to the Hunting Horror. potentially you have 2 or 3 doom that can be on him at a time.

This is a real pain - come on FFG - if you're going to introduce new keywords rules, please explain fully what they mean in the insert, refer to the rules reference, etc, but FULLY explain all the consequences of the new keyword/rules.

Once attached, Shadow-spawned stays attached even if the wee beastie enters the Void. And Matt confirmed that as an errata, resources on Shadow-spawned stay on the card even in the Void (otherwise, the main growing mechanic of the Horror would not work).

All other attachments and tokens (including Doom) fall off when the Horror visits the Void, however.

Which Errata? The card wording should be different, or the rules changed?
