Oh, the more and more I see T-70 stuff spoiled the more I want Wave 2 to release sooner. Can anyone freeze me in carbonite for about a month or two?

Snap could easily be not-as-good of a pilot while being higher ranked. I think both of them at 4 makes more sense than having 3 5’s.

It kind of depends on the worth of his ability, no? If he continues to get free boosts...

Yeah I am inclined to agree, in fact all of black squadron at Initiative 4, besides Poe, would be pretty cool and make them flexible on the order they move.

I know Lulo is 5 though but he is a Galactic Civil War veteran.

Even though I already own 14 T-70 X-Wings, it looks like I'll need to buy 4 or 5 more. I have 4 stock blue ships (blue squad rookies), 3 red ships (red squad experts) and 7 unique paint jobs for Poe, Nien, Ello, Snap, Kare (blue ace), Jess and Joph (red ace). Now I'm going to need 2 or 3 black ships for the Black squad Aces and 2 more unique paints for Lt. Bastian and Jaycris.

And before anyone thinks I'm totally nuts, this is the only ship I'm doing this for. I do own more than one of many other ships but nothing like this!

Black hull and coloured trim, or grey hull and black trim?

I'm going to be stripping and repainting my T-70s to match my theme for all of my "good guy" ships, though I do like your style! (I used to have all 12 members of Rogue Squadron, but they are now all gone due to budget concerns )

Not 100% decided but I’m leaning toward all black with touches of grey trim - inspired by the artwork you can find online for the Stealth-X.

Eh it happens! I kept four T-65s, so I can strip them down and repaint them better, or do something else (leaning towards this option, everyone does Rogues these days!)

I think the StealthX scheme may work. A few dashes of red might not look amiss, as well, like this:

They're gorgeous, but to me they aren't StealthXs.

I hope so! Will be interesting to see what abilities Jess and Ello have.

I think three Black Aces will fit in 200pts (perhaps naked), and probably the cheaper named characters. Not sure whether we'll see Poe leading any T-210 lists, though!

Time to resurrect this thread as Snap, Nien, Ello and Jess are now spoiled and we should have points costs in the next few days.

Snap - unchanged. Free boost action after a speed 2-4 manoeuvre

Nien - unchanged

Ello - buffed, T-rolls are now white when he has 2 or less stress

Jess - slight nerf, her ability is the same but uses a recurring charge so once per turn. Except she can use Astromech charges to power it too. So cool!

the big challenge for me is how many of these we can fit in 200.

Just spitballing... Poe and an i5 probably can’t fit another T-70 with them? Both i5’s could probably fit a generic T-70?

Because three T-70’s doesn’t seem overpowered, but not three top-tier T-70’s, considering you can barely fit the top of the T-65’s?

I could be off—But if you can fit Poe with Nein and Ello, I feel pretty confident you won’t have more than a couple points for upgrades.

You can fit Wedge, Luke and Thane into a list and have Proton Torpedoes on all 3 with points left over for Astromechs; so getting the top 3 T-70s into a list without Protons wouldn't seem to be an unreasonable expectation...

Fair. Fully kitted T-65 being similarly priced to bare T-70’s seems reasonable.

I seriously hope so given the UK release date is reportedly tomorrow, but I find it unlikely, as the rest of world release is December 13. I imagine points will drop next Thursday at the earliest.

UK release date is 100% tomorrow. Stores are posting pictures of stocks and confirming delivery of everything other than dial upgrades.

I think 4x Red Squadron Experts with Heroic would be a pretty solid list.

Points are right (about Fang pricing) for 3x T70 to fit, and probably with some decent stuff.

I've never been more happy to be wrong! Technically the release date is meant to be Friday, but I have my stuff now and I am a happy bunny!

Didn't try triple T-70, but I did fly Poe and Ello, and they're lots of fun. I need to experiment a bit more and have a decent look at theorycrafting properly rather than running round the room throwing upgrades at stuff like a four year old on a sugar high, but I think there are definitely some viable builds.

I do think the RZ-2 might be a dark horse in contention for a place in my lists, however. I'm also wondering how four or five of those might handle...

I know the topic is all T-70s but I'm def looking at Ello, Poe and an A-wing as backup.

Swarm Tactics torp Poe with target sync, Torp Jess and a filler blue squadron to act as a blocker I think is my starter.

Poe looks like a ridiculously good i6 Torp carrier with easy double mods, For Jess, target sync gives her a double modded torp as long as she fires before Poe.

I considered putting an A-Wing in instead of the blue squadron rookie, but decided the T-70 poses a bigger ongoing threat.
