Empire's End Ships **POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

By Truthiness, in Star Wars: Armada

Anyone else make it through Empire's End yet? It was featured in Life Debt, but the Starhawks got top billeting in that final battle. I hate how they used them (lol tractor beamz), but the ship itself sounds awesome. Can't wait to see the artwork.

I also noticed that an Assault Frigate got mentioned. Can't remember if their was one in the first Aftermath, but it's good to see the space whale get included (although it didn't mention a mark, so it could be the Mark I). Anybody else catch anything Armada related?

I haven't gotten a chance. How was the battle handled? How large were the fleets involved? Was it well done?

Fleets were huge. It started well, but I did not care for how it ended. One of the Starhawks gets caught in a bad position, gets crippled by the SSD, but then gets behind it and activates a tractor beam. It's apparently "ten times" more powerful than an ISD's tractor beam, so the Rebs target the SSD's engines and the Starhawk drags the SSD down to Jakku with it. Felt rather lame.

Yeah that bit was a bit pants, but as far as Star Wars set pieces go, you can't really be that shocked.

Tractor beams are just tug of war. I may be able to pull 10 times harder on a rope than a 600 pound man, but he still isn't moving. I'm just going to be pulling myself to him.

I guess they did blow up the engines, but if that is what it takes to kill a ship over a planet, then why weren't they doing it from the start?

There was a really odd mix of timescales too. It suggested the battle was going on for days, then when it actually was describing the action, things were happening in seconds.
