Which rebel ship/s to buy?

By DrakonLord, in Star Wars: Armada

Ok, so tomorrow im going to be buying or ordering a new rebel ship or two, but i cant decide which one to get. I have the rebel half of the core set, the pelta, the rebel half of rogues and villains along with one of each fighter pack. I also have the model of the AFmk2, and i am debating getting another so i get the cards as well.

My usual tactics involve broadsides, fighter balls and fast manouverable ships, so which ships should i try to get?

My thoughts at the momentis to get a mc30c, a cr90 and a GR75 tomorrow, but thoughts and opinions are welcome :D

For your tactics, all of the listed ships are good choices for you. Personally i'd go with the MC-30 and GR-75 first, then the CR-90. However any of them are sound ships.

MC-30, you won't regret it

mc30s are good. They're ok for broadsides. Do you have ackbar mc80?

Id swing for a CR90 and the GR75s, if at all possible.

Thanks everyone ? will see if i can get a mc30 tomorrow then, i dont have a ackbar mc80 yet but i might look for one, thanks everyone ?????

ackbar is king of broadsides. and mc80 is fun and competitive. But a mc30 shrimp is a good ship. for many lists. if youre collecting slow, i hope you end up loving yours.

MC30s are dirty. With either title (though Foresight is superior imo) theyre durable enough where you can practically guarantee they wont die before they rip something to shreds, and when diving right down someones throat thats pretty easy to do. Ive had 1 game where it didnt do much, and that was my first game with it where i tried to flank at speed 3 for some reason.

These are all great ideas and I have little to no experience compared to the chaps on this forum, but I'd say the Home One. I mean, how can you play a Rebel Fleet without having the ability to spring the line, "it's a trap!" at just the correct moment? Would playing the Rebels aside from that caveat even be possible?

The MC80H1 is definitley a great ship, one of my recent favorites, but I've found you end up building around it, whereas an MC-30 can be fit into almost any list. It depends what you want, if you want to broadside every match go MC80. If you want to play around with a bunch of different archetypes, MC30.

My favorite list right now has one of each, so go get both of them? ?

With the way activations go in this game I generally suggest to my friends that they get a flotilla before they get a large ship.

Large ships are fun, and fun centerpieces, and I personally find them effective- but part of that effectiveness is having a cheap activation to balance out their cost, which the flotilla provides.
