Some questions

By zarius, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi, I have some questions i hope you can answer:

  1. Can I count an Agenda into my house deck (59 + Agenda) or have I to make a 60 card + Agenda house deck?
  2. If I redirect an attack with Crown Regent title, can the attacker use stealth with the characters of the new target?
  3. If I have 2 Starfall Bannerman (If is not Winter. House Dayne characters get +1 STR) in play, the bonus is +2 to every House Dayne character?
  4. Can I play in the setup a Location that attach to house card if I decide to attach or is limited just to attachment card type?

Thanks in advance!

No. Agendas are essentially modifiers to the House Card. They do not count toward the deck count any more than your House card does.

Yes. Consider the timing of Crown Regent. The redirect happens immediately after the challenge is initiated and the attackers are declared. The attacker doesn't assign stealth until just before defenders are declared. So the redirect happens long before the attacker gets to that point for either the original or the new defender.

The timing of redirects and defense help for Crown Regent, Lord Commander and title supports was discussed recently in this thread .

Correct. Each copy of the card is considered a separate effect. Therefore, you resolve each one separately, making the net increase +2 STR.

No, for a couple of reasons.

First and foremost, you have to remember that when you play the various Chambers as attachments, they are not "locations-acting-as-attachments." They are only attachments. So if you are trying to place it during setup as an attachment, you are trying to place an attachment, not a location. The rules are very specific that no attachments can be placed during setup, unless they have the "Setup" keyword (which the Chambers obviously do not).

Another reason is that the text on those locations say that you can play them as attachments on your House card. You are not playing cards from your hand during setup; you are placing your setup cards. So the text on the cards don't even give you the option.

The third, and perhaps least esoteric, reason is that absolutely no card text is active during setup (unless the card specifically references setup). So during setup, they are 1-cost locations, and nothing else.
