Weird but..."demi-competitive" list? Bossk.

By Cerve, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I bought my 2 Quadjumpers yesterday, and I was thinking about a list. Then...

YV-666: · Bossk (35)
· A score to settle (0)
· 4-LOM (1)
· Zuckuss (1)
· Dengar (3)
Inertial Dampeners (1)
HWK-290: · Torkil Mux (19)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Quadjumper: Jakku Gunrunner (15)
Spacetug Tractor Array (2)
Quadjumper: Jakku Gunrunner (15)
Spacetug Tractor Array (2)
-- TOTAL ------- 100p. --

some thoughts:

Initially, there was a Thuglife Y instead of Mux. Then I saw the points, and considerate that both Jumpers and Bossk are preferred enemies, so why don't try Mux? Keeping the TLT, I got his ability that maybe will work almost once (?). Then, all the 4 ships still annoying.

The thing is that all the 4 ships are the common targets to "wipe out fast and first".

2 Jumpers for more tractor zone, a TLT with a nice rule, Bossk is the hammer that all we know....maybe is not totally competitive, but neither is totally rust...?....

I can see it do well against triple defenders, if you manage to bump with your quad jumpers. Bossk will of course go down quickly, but what about paratanni? Fenn rau alone could make quick work of the list if he gets behind bossk..

But heck it might work. Seems fun to fly, and that's the important thing!

In that Scenario I guess I'll try to keep the Jumpers behind Bossk, to cover him and/or create a Tractor danger-zone for him. Depends how my enemy will fly Fenn, if aggressive or conservative.

But yes, not super competitive but I've seen the same "mmmh maybe will work"tought in!

I should think the most difficult aspect of this list would be flying it in formation, keeping it running such that everyone covers everyone else. That said, pull it off and it's going to hurt someone. Like you say, every one of these ships is usually target priority number one, so you're going to give your opponent fits. I like it! I may steal it!

Be free to steal it! Share your opinions after the test :)

I would go with SLAM instead of ID. It's better IMO.

Read the "shipping and receiving" topic posted very recently. It gives a similar (and imo better) list using bossk, 2 quads and a z-95

I can't find it. Anyway how is fulfilled the points gap? Z-95 is just 12 points
