Would you still get an action if you used Intertial Dampeners when you have a Pattern Analyzer? I am thinking no as the ID applies stress before the action step.

Pattern Analyzer doesn't help at all with Inertial Dampeners.

With IDs and PA both active, the sequence would be:

• Reveal dial
• Trigger IDs
• Perform Stop
  • Execute Manoeuvre
  • Clean uo
• Gain stress from IDs
• Perform action - fail because stressed
• Check pilot stress - no further action.

Would it be a red maneuver, yes. But its a white that assigns a stress, meaning it gives you a stress outside of the "Check Pilot Stress" step so PA doesnt do jack.

There is a reason Pattern cost 2 versus Advance Sensor 3
