Poe/Norra/Rex?

Inspired by J Viz's Poe/Jake/Ahsoka thread, I started wondering about rebel regen with Sabine's TIE and came up with this. Both Norra and Poe can be very good end game ships, so who does the opponent focus on? Any thoughts?

I think I would focus on Poe first. He's got the better mobility between the two, and if you can take care of him without losing too much, you can overwhelm Norra without her being able to regen.

But both are such strong fighters you should be able to position yourself well and adapt to whichever one your opponent attempts to target.

Thanks. Would you set them up to all joust together, or Rex with just one with the other set to come in from the flank?

I would use one as the flanker (probably Poe, because again, maneuverability).

I'd be tempted to flank with Rex keeping him at R3 since he's so squishy.

Yeah I feel like your gonna want to give Rex something to keep him alive for a minute. Maybe steal a few points from poe and give him a hull upgrade, stealth, or something like that. Because if he goes down first engagement it's like of like you really should have just had two ships.

Hmmm...yeah, that actually presents an argument for Rex to flank off on his own, looking simply to get a R3 shot for Suppressive Fire, as GrogEgrog suggested. Or...well...he could just be treated like a fancy blocker. If he gets off his ability, yay!...if not, he took fire away from Norra and Poe. I guess the key would be to sacrifice him in a situation wherein real damage can be dealt.

Yeah I agree you need to flank with him and hopefully the will draw attention away from poe and norra. Or just keep them all separate but close enough to gather their fire. That way when they make a choice, they are moving away from two other ships. But I do suggest give Rex a defensive bump, so he can take a little more effort to kill. Take black one and pattern off of poe, if your ptl-ing you can't do red moves, and if your not using ptl that often, predator is much better on him, just my opinion

I could see dropping the title, but I'd have a hard time dropping PA...it gives me 5 movement options to get 2 actions with no stress. I've considered Predator in place of PtL, but then I'd want Sensor Cluster in there to make Poe tanky. I'm going to give this a whirl as is for a few games and keep your recommendations in mind. If I don't find myself PtL'ing with Poe that much, then Predator would definitely be the right call.

Rex could pop really quickly, but I'm not sure if I care that much. With an evade action and 3 green dice, he should be able to last for 2-3 barrages against him....if I fly him smart and at long range, maybe even longer. I'm trying to view him as a blocking prototype A-wing that they don't want to ignore. I'm kind of fine with it either way...if they don't attack Rex, he gets to weaken an attack. If they do, then no dice are getting thrown at my primary ships. Getting him blown up before he even gets to use his ability, though...yeah. If I find that happening consistently, then I may have to reconsider things.

Well I fly a lot of imperial...and yeah one tie fighter surviving more then one barrage is a little lucky...and surviving 2 is super lucky. Pretty much any list in the meta has the capability to smash it in a turn even with average dice. But hey maybe it will be better for you....just don't miss a block

Well, when I say barrage, I mean one shot from one ship, so I guess I should say 1-2 turns.

I just played a lunchtime game against a party bus and two Unhinged/TLT Y's. I kind of rolled over it. Since a blocking Rex didn't make sense against that list, I dangled Rex as bait for the Y's, which led the way, and headed Poe and Norra for the bus. Rex got Suppressive Fire on one of the Y's and got in behind both of them. He survived until the end of the game, that was largely due to maintaining range 1 on one or both and some great evade dice. I wouldn't expect him to survive that long again. BUT...3 evade dice and an evade token can create a tough nut.

I flew Rex really well, Poe and Norra...not so much. I spaced on using PA the first time Poe did a green then PtL'ed. I also forgot to use R2-D2 at least twice on Norra. This was the second or third time I've flown Norra, and didn't get much out of her the first two times. Wow. What a monster, especially against a ship with few agility dice.

We could only do a 60 minute game. At the end the bus was gone, one Y was at 1 hull (was in a hurry, should and could have killed it in a tourney), one Y was full. Poe was at 2 hull, 1 shield, Norra full hull (should have had at least 2 shields, but I'm a n00b), Rex had 1 hull.
