Range Bonus

By LordofBritannia, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hello everyone.

I recently started to play x-wing and i have an issue with range bonus. The rules state that all bonus are cumulative. So, for example, if Wedge (who reduces agility by one) attacks a VT-49 Decimator (0 agility) at range 3, does it role 0 (since the effects are cumulative) or 1 dice (range doesn't affect agility).

Thanks for the help.

Wedge reduces a ship's base agility (in this case from 0 to 0) then stuff like range three applies (from 0 dice to 1 die)

Range and obstruction bonuses are not agility, and are handled separately in the calculation to determine your number of green dice for a given attack. The number of green dice you roll is (normally) equal to your agility value (which has a minimum of 0 - so for instance, Commander Kenkirk with a damage card to activate his pilot ability and 2 tractor tokens would get 0 +1 -2 =0 agility) plus a range 3 bonus, plus an obstruction bonus, if applicable.

They are cumulative, but as other said, and you said it too, Wedge modify the agility, not the number of dice thrown on defense!
