Heff Poe Jess

I really like the U-wing and have been playing around making a list revolving it with two t-70's, as lacklustre is the U-wing is to try make it decent.

My idea was to run the u-wing as a blocker with Jess while Poe does his thing.

My other idea was running Poe with a red squadron and comm relay. I dont have access to the rest of the force awakens pilots yet.

I'm completely open to suggestions.

Heff is my favorite, definately like what you are doing here. I would probably drop APL for tactical jammers, and VI for adapt, then you can get Pattern Analyzers on Poe. Will make a big difference in endgame. Jammers will give your T70s three or four green dice, forcing your opponent to take Heff out first, which isnt a bad thing. M9G8 on jess is a beautiful thing.

Here's an alt version, it definitely makes Poe and Heff bigger targets and points at the expense of Jess.

I guess my plan with it would be for Poe to move out of arc and strip TLs, while shooting with TL/1focus, Heff to block and pull 5 dice TL/Focused shots on the blocked ship (for a round or 2) Jess to add dmg, and cancel any late crits on Heff.

I guess this version comes down to Heff messing up their formation and doing enough dmg before going down, so Jess csn add some and Poe can clear the end game board.

I forgot to mention, if you are ok with subbing Tarn in his T65 in for Jess you can take Pattern Analyzer on Poe, and either a M9-G8 or R2D6, w/ Draw their fire and a 1pt Init bid.

I definitely like both the list ideas, I totally forgot about Draw their Fire, especially with Jammer.

What is the thought behind DTF?

Its a 1pt EPT for the low likelihood of a crit on Heff after he loses shields but the damage mitigation keeps him in for another shot/round.

I wouldnt put too many points into Heff, otherwise you make him a juicy target that should be taken out first, and he is slow, cant turn well, and low PS, so its not hard to do if the opponent wants too.

Just make him a nuisance and a big threat if they get too close and bump. Use him as space control. Thats the best use I have had with him. Keep the juicy targets behind him. Ive used him with Biggs and Homing Missile Miranda to good effect as well.

M9G8 way way better on Jess than DTF. It makes Poe hit harder or else can turn an opponents hit into a blank, which is almost as good as regen in my book.

Good point Wurms, if the points are available I think Thane with a weapons engineer is the best caddy for M9G8.
