Those look sweet.
My first attempt at a real color fade with a brush:
Was not a fan of all the pinks here, so I decided to do red to black instead, and used a red with a little bit of metallic tinge to it. My second attempt at a color fade came out a little better. Below is a picture of my fourth or fifth attempt, which I am calling final:
Probably could have done a little bit better camera work here, but this is about the top of my current skill level. I will definitely add this to my list of skills to keep practicing.

Ok, now you can go away! We can't have so many dang skilled painters around here. Making me feel insecure. lol
painted a couple Y's to match my squad (I actually really like this new sculpt!!!)
Thought I'd pop this in here. Through the trade thread, @LagJanson requested a 3D print of the famously terrible Y-Wing from the Gold Squadron Pilot card. I'll clear off the supports later and I assume they'll do some painting on it later, but it was a fun thing to print.
