Yt-2400 was quite and impact when it entered the game. But Eaden was not very glamorous. Only PS 3 and mediocre pilot hability. But now there are tons of ways to stress your enemy. And firing last means that it is quite probable to gain that extra Red firing vs Stressed target.

So a naked and cheap Eaden can be not a Tier ship but yes a viable one. But... this another example of a overcosted old ship. But we like old ships. And the weird looking Yt-2400 looks great on the table. 32 pts to purchase a naked ship. Too much.

In my opinion this is not a bad 30 pts ship. Your opinion about a Chardaan like cost reduction for PS 5 or less YT 2400?

Honestly, if his ability worked with canons, he would see more use. A HLC's donut hole would be hard to over come with his PS, but him with the title and a Mangler might have been a major threat to self stressing ships. Sadly, not to be.

I agree. But the idea of a cheap large base beautiful ship that can improve a little a weak attack vs Stressed targets is OK to me. 30 pts is not cheap, really, but 32 pts is simply a joke. 33 pts invested in a RecSpec Eaden is...affordable. In a meta of abusive number of Reds new life to old ships are good news.

If we are talking about just a price drop for Eaden, that is workable. For YT24's in general, we could have problems with a cheaper Super Dash.

Now, changing card text after the fact is always a bit problematic because not everyone is gonna see the revised card if they get an old printing. Price reductions and adding benefits are better than price hikes and nerfing, but it still can be problematic to explain if someone calls you out and their is no way to show them the FAQ with the ruling.

How about another title for it after iron squadron on rebels?

I have run him with Stress-Braylenn, APL, and Intel Agent or Chewy. Never quite got it all to work, but I think it was because I could not find a decent 3rd ship that fit points wise.

Maybe a title a little like the Punishing One, but cheaper and different.

So like:

"When attacking with a primary weapon at range 2-3, increase your attack value by 1.
Your upgrade bar loses the cannon and missile slot."

And make it like 8 points.

At best, he's a more agile Falcon pilot.

He's good for Epic play, I think. Hide him behind a huge ship (GR75) and give him Dash crew. Give the huge ship EM Emitter. Let the huge ship use a jam action to stress the enemy. You now have 3 attack dice PWT and 5 defence dice.

I had moderately good results running Eaden with Poe and a SuperStressX (T-70 Red Vet with R3-A2 and Wired). Put APLs on Eaden and use himto block one ship while getting a 3-die attack at another. Suffers from a lack of decent die modification, though.

With a stress source, Eaden with Intel Agent and APL is a 3 die Pwt and an excellent blocker for 35pts.

I used to run this build with a Grey stress hog and an ace back when Soontir was at his height. At 35pts he was decent but needing a second ship to power him up always made him feel a little overpriced. Compare him to a JM5k and as with all the 2400's you see a real mismatch.

Not top tier but I quite like Eaden. As with all 2400's except i guess Dash, he could stand to trim a couple of points. A title that works with only PWT could be amazing but I doubt the 2400 is anywhere close to a priority for more content.

Maybe toss Rey crew on Vrill to keep him cheap but allow him to have some dice mods when you need to him to barrel-roll or to allow him to have focus + target lock in rounds that he gets to throw 4 red dice?

Vrill with Rey + Braylen with R3-A2, Gunner, and Title leaves 34 points to do something with.

Vrill would actually be pretty decent if the YT-2400 was priced more like the Jumpmaster. As it is he's paying 7 points and an EPT slot for 1 shield. If you could put him on the table with Rey and Lone Wolf/Intimidation for 32 points, I think he'd see some play.

One of the people in my area has been running Eaden Vrill with Miranda and Braylen and he's been doing pretty well with it. He managed to make it to the top 16 of the recent Sacramento Regional using that list.

Thing is Edrin ability is only works with PWTs and the YT-2400 is best used with Outrider title. Sure stress hog might help Eadrin and he can pick up tactician but the low pilot skill along with all the stress sinks out there (i.e. inspiring recruit) Eadrin doesn't see much oppertunity to get 3 PWTs even with all the stress as currency (zuckuss, mindlink) stuff around because it is likely they will also employ stress sinks.

Also 3 PWT isn't the anti-arcdodging power house it used to be. You can go get a TLT-wing for much cheaper and it will do more damage than Vrill.

I ran him with Corran and a Z for a bit and had fun. He'd be fine if he could be self-sufficient but he requires either the right matchup or a list with a babysitter to make him a 3 dice attack. He's the very definition of throwing good points after bad.

I ran this for a short time, but am not good enough to pull it off.

Last summer, I ran a Wes/Biggs/Vrill in some local tournaments and made decents results... I ran Vrill with HLC + Recon Spe instead of the Lothal Rebel with corrector + autoblaster turret, but i think we can tinkering it a little bite :

• Wes Janson w/ integrated R3-A2 + VI
• Biggs w/ integrated R4-D6
• Eadren Vrill w/ HLC + Rey + Tactical Jammer

Or maybe something more than the inquisitor ability..., but only on the firing arc (because PWT need to care about their arcs ^^) :

i love playing this list. Eaden almost always has a stressed ship to shoot at and target priority is usually very simple for him. Tractor Beam Cannon gives him a good Range 3 option for just 1 pt.

Inspired by Off Jenkins I have flight slightly modified version of this list for a few times with a good success. My version is:

Eaden + Compartment + Rigged Cargo + Anti Pursuit Lasers + Intel Agent

Warden + EM + Sabine + Thermals + Conner + SLAM

Grey Squadron + BTL4 + TLT + R2A3

Old Damage Deck (for double stress after blinded with Grey)

You can pull of some really nice strategies here like full 4 speed straight and debris drop with eaden so if enemy doesn't bump you he most probably flies through debris or turns, thus not keep other ships in arc. If he bumps he can have some tough choices next round.

You can also block without dropping debris so then Eaden can double stress blocked ship with 1-hard followed by rigged cargo drop.

I really think it's a great list and would be my first choice for arising meta if I hadn't other list I had a lot of practice with that fares pretty well already. This list has really important stress control (on all 3 ships actually), general control and autodamage from warden conners and a great blocker. Actually if I were to point one list that can leave parattani without foci it would be this one as:

1. one ship is double stressed from previous round

2. one can be blocked with Eaden or Eadens debris

3. one can be connered

And all this with possibly maintaining an arc with Grey and having +1 attack with Eaden

I run three variants of him. I had originally created this list to compete with a friend of mine who almost exclusively ran palp aces.

Stress list (because is stresses my opponent to play against it :D)

Hobbie + Flechette torps + R3-A2

Nera + Flechette Torps x2 + Flechette Cannon + Deadeye + FCS + Munitions Failsafe

Eaden + Anti-pursuit Lasers + Intel Agent

The Meta has shifted a bit and there are now better options for stressing more consistently and so I have changed it up since its conception:

Stress List 2.0

Nera + Flechette Torps x2 + Deadeye + FCS + Munitions Failsafe

Braylen + Gunner + R3-A2

Eaden + Chopper + Smuggling Compartment + Rigged Cargo Chute + Tactical Jammer

The third one just changes Braylen's copilot for tactician instead of gunner and lets Eaden take Cassian Andor and apl instead of chopper and tac jammer. But I have found that tactician doesn't trigger as much as I would like, and I rarely get the points out of APL. Also, when I use tac jammer and fly my ships well all of my ships are now behind two green dice instead of one. I realize this isn't exactly top tier but its a hell of a lot of fun and I'm improving with it bit by bit.

I ran him in some local tournament and has success as well but it's been a while. List was Vrill with mangler intel and APL, an ORS with APL, intel, and Navigator, and a stessbot Y. I'm considering revisiting it with Braylen and Heff at all at PS3. I can choose movement to hopefully ensure APL kicks in and I block a lot. We'll see how it goes.
