Self made tokens

By teeg123456, in X-Wing

I'm going to try and make some if my own tokens but having trouble finding some decent printables. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Not sure what it is you are looking for, to be honest.

I customized my own Target Lock tokens. I painted the edges blue and red for each side, and then I glued a picture on each side of the token. I grabbed an image off the internet and sized it in MS Word. I used a work printer to print it off and had to get a few tries to get the right size. I then used a glue stick and stuck them on. They came out pretty neat. It's easy to know which ship Darth Vader has TL'ed because his face is on the token!

You can just do things like that. Find an image you like and use it. Or...is finding an image what you are having a hard time with?

I did similar. I have these small wooden 'coins' I had earlier purchased at an art store for another project... Printed some images from the 'net and glued them on either side. I painted around the edges just for appearances. I wouldn't want to stockpile a bunch as it takes some work to cut nicely and such, but the end result is nice.

I'm just trying to find some decent images to print. My wife has some little 1 inch round metal trays. I plan to put image in tray and fill with epoxy, but want good images and I can't seem to find to many.

All the folks I fly with all have the same tokens I just want some wolith some personality. Maybe photo shop the images to my liking or something like that

I would recommend looking at some 3rd party images to get ideas. A lot of it is just finding some image that's cool that you like online and using it. Or making one yourself via some free built in graphic program.

Yep that's what I've started doing, but thanks very much for the help everyone

1 inch is huuuuge!

There are smaller "trays" in the jewelry making aisle at craft stores.

I used the exact method you describe. But man 1 Inch is a LOT of token

You'll need a 3D printer though.

Thanks for link I don't have a 3d printer but might be able to get acess to one

"Are we seriously not doing 'phrasing' anymore?"

Best self-made custom tokens I've ever seen were made by @kryzak out of beaten copper and (I think) nickel. They're awesome.

Dude barely even plays the game anymore!

1 inch isn't crazy big. That's how big Sling Paint tokens are. It's the size of a small button. It is bigger than other tokens, but not crazy big.

They even made some "epic" tokens that were really big button size. Target Locks that were 3-4 inches big? Insane, yet funny.

And honestly, I really don't like those slingpaint ones - the size is a big factor, but I think they just look bad.

They have 101 different styles, it seems. I don't like all of them, but each to their own. They are local and sometimes I need to buy something to put my purchase over the $10 mark to get a loyalty stamp. They sell them at the store. I've been snagging little ones like Extra Munitions and Ionization markers here and there.
