Push the Limit and Experimental Interface

By Goseki1, in X-Wing Rules Questions

So having put together a really silly build for fun, I was looking up if it was possible to run it the way I wanted. Most threads on how much stress you get from PTL + IE are pretty old and there still seemed to be lack of consensus.

My understanding is that the actions and stress are nested in a certain way:

-Base action

--- Trigger Ptl

------ Take PtL Action

--------- Trigger EI

------------ Take EI Action

------------ Gain EI Stress

------ Gain PtL Stress

So the silly list I have is the below:

VT-49 Decimator: · Captain Oicunn (42)
Push The Limit (3)
Extra Munitions (2)
Conner Net (4)
· Experimental Interface (3)
· General Hux (5)
Inspiring Recruit (1)
Inspiring Recruit (1)
-- TOTAL ------- 61p. --

So I could Target Lock, push the limit to drop the Connor net, experimental interface to Hux and receive 3 stress. Next turn do a green to clear all stress as I have 2 Inspiring Recruits(they aren't unique or limited). Does that work?

Nope... Push the Limit can't drop the Conner Net.

But the sequence yes.

You would have to do: Drop Conner Net - Target Lock - General Hux - Stress - Stress - Stress

Hah, of course of course. Cheers.

You could even do it all off Dauntless for FOUR stress.

Hah!

Inspiring Recruit does make me think it might be time to give Oicunn with Dauntless and Daredevil (and EU) a shot.
