Ever since we bought Descent about 3 months ago, we've been chewing trough the campaign, different overlord decks, heroes and classes like crazy. We absolutely love it. We've already purchased the Manor of Ravens expansion and a hero pack, and a couple of weeks ago we were again at a point where we wanted to purchase a new expansion and/or hero pack to add some more story and diversity to the game.

But, my favorite boardgame shop didn't have any other expansion in stock. So I started looking at other boardgame shops, but none of 'em had any expansion pack we'd like! (Chains that Rust, Labyrinth of Ruin, Trollfens, ... basicly íf one has an expansion in stock, it'd only be Mists of Bilehall, which doesn't have any heroes or classes so we'd rather wait till later on before purchasing that one)

I was then told by the owner of my favorite boardgame shop that this was due to a lot of European distributors not having expansions in stock! Neither Intrafin in Belgium, nor Heidelberger Spieleverlag in Germany, nor Bergsala Enigma Benelux in the Netherlands (where I live) have 'em in stock. And they told the owner of my favorite boardgame shop that they simply have to wait till new shipment arrives from FFG in the USA.

So, please, FFG, give Europe a bunch of shipping containers filled with expansion packs!

Here in vienna both our local gaming store are fully stocked on descent, all expansions multiple copies and even lieutenant packs and other supplementary products. Maybe you could order some stuff online from us?

Thanks for your reply. The expansions at sirengames.at are a little more expansive plus the shipping cost from Austria to Netherlands is something to keep mind. That said, if the urge to buy new expansions gets too big We'll probably order something there, thanks!

Thank you for your reply Felin. The shipping costs that boardgameshop.eu charges to send to the Netherlands are indeed cheaper, and the expansion prices are comparable to those of sirengames.at. Looks like we found ourselves a better alternative

At the moment we're pretty specifically looking for the Labyrinth of Ruin expansion + Shards of Everdark Hero pack, due to some cool hero/class combinations we can make with those.

As far as I can see, not any shop in the Netherlands has those in stock so we'll probably purchase them at boardgameshop.eu this time.

I live in Norway, and it took me half a year to get a hold on all LT-packs and expansions. The main problem wasn't my local friendly game store, but FFG having several products out of print. If something is out of stock on this page, that is not a good sign. You should monitor the status of reprints under "upcoming"....

The frustration, the frustration....

So as I told we ordered the Labyrinth of Ruin expansion and the Shards of Everdark Hero pack at boardgameshop.eu. A couple of days passed without any news or shipment notification whatsoever. So we mailed them today, and we got a response in which they told us that we ordered the last copy of Labyrinth of Ruin, but they were unable to find it anywhere .

So we're basicly back to square one and now have to wait for them to undo the payment.

In Switzerland it kind of impossible to find (english) copies of the game.
I ended up buying everything directly from FFG or some other shops in the US, (even if the shipping is more expensive).
When the total of the order is in the range of 500$~800$ the shipping doesn't weight as much.
Usually I'm not the only one needing something so when a group of a few orders together you get that high of an order quite easily.

Thanks for the tip Psymia. If like you say you have a pretty big group who wants to order alltogether it's indeed a bit more profitable to order at FFG directly and split the shipping cost.

But we're with a group of 5 people and we don't know other people who play Descent and want to purchase expansions. We are currently (trying to) buy expansions as we go; We've bought Manor of Ravens and one hero pack, and now we're looking for the next one. We are (currently) not looking to spend hundreds of dollars/euro's for a whole bunch of expanions in one purchase. Apart from the pretty big investment you'd have to make at once, it's also a bit risky in our situation because we (as a group) tend to gain and loose interest in games sometimes, and there's of course always the possibility that some players of the group drop out whatsoever.

In other words: It would be a shame if we spent hundreds of dollars to buy (pretty much) all of the expansions, only to stop playing Descent after two months because some (or all) of us loose interest, have other things to attend to, etc.

I'm sorry for you ! I have used this site many times with out any problem !
By the way I was looking for something for myself when I came across this one :
