I tried looking this up but didn't see anything that looked relevant nor did I find an answer in FAQ. Just a quick (hopefully) question.
Zeb Pilot: "when defending, you may cancel crit results before hit results."
Bossk Pilot: "When you perform an attack that hits, before dealing damage, you may cancel 1 of your crit results to add 2 hit results."
Lets say Bossk rolls 1 hit and 1 crit. Zeb rolls 1 evade. The attack is now in the "hit" category. Zeb however cancels the crit from Bossk instead of the hit. Even though Bossk's attack is hitting, does he still get to cancel that crit and add 2 dice, or is the crit out of play once Zeb cancels it.
It would seem to me that the crit is out of play and Bossk just gets 1 standard hit on Zeb but I am not sure.
I understand it is assumed that if bossk's attack is hitting, then after canceling dice he will be left with crit results, except for in this unique situation, which is why the card isn't worded slightly differently Like "When you perform an attack that hits, before dealing damage, you may cancel 1 of your uncancelled crit results to add 2 hit results." but since it does not specifically say uncancelled my question was born to me.
