How do you store your minis?

By Bataar, in Mansions of Madness

I have the minis glued to their bases and am trying to come up with the best way to safely/securely store them. Ideally, I'd like to keep everything in the box, but haven't found a solution yet. If you have any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

I haven't gotten around to it yet (still painting the minis and keeping them in a cupboard), but i've consolidated all map pieces, character cards, decks, a lidded electronic component box (cost me ¨~2€) filled with the smaller bits and pieces in the base game box. Planning to have the player characters bedded in foam in the "Beyond the threshold" box, and perhaps something similar for the monsters in the more volumous tile collection boxes, although they are flimsier. The player minis could also be stored in a component box, preferable with cut foam in each compartment.

If the bases are the same as MoM 1st ed, these could work:

I can personally say that these boxes work extremely well! I have my minis painted and glued to the bases. These inserts fit perfectly into the original game boxes and everything is held perfectly in place. The ones that are sold on that site are for MoM 2nd edition. If you have the expansions the 2 additional boxes do require a little mixing to store the map tiles and monsters as the expansion boxes aren't made just for that single expansion. With the size of the 3rd expansion I was even able to get it to fit in with everything else as well.

Here's the link to the primary game insert. https://go7gaming.com/product/storage-solution-for-mansions-of-madness/

If you want any pictures besides what's on the website, let me know.

You can also use foam trays such as:

You can purchase specific trays for your games, or the standard foam trays that you can cut and personalize (depends how much room you have). I bought trays like these ones for MoM but as I also have Recurring Nightmares, the minis take over the whole box with the tiles, and I have a separate container for the tokens, investigators, dice, etc.
