Striker ailerons question

By Darth Matt, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Do adaptive ailerons and twin ion engine mk2 interact at all? Ailerons says to perform a white 1 straight or bank, but twin ion says to treat all bank as green? So does the wording on ailerons that it's a "white" take effect or does twin ion allow those 1 banks to be treated as green?

Yes, although I don't think there is a way of making use of the green at this time, since you can't do the manoeuvre while stressed.

Yes, and there is - if you have the Loose Stabiliser crit, the banks won't be white, so they won't give you stress.

There is always an edge case ;)

I got the Loose Stabiliser crit on a Striker once, it's quite fun and easy to work around it. You dial a green move, you do your white "pre boost" and get a stress, then your reveal and execute your green regular move, bam no stress, get an action. BUT you can't do reverse move anymore :(

Loose Stabiliser is the only way it would matter, and that crit is IRRITATING on strikers.

Loose stabilizer does let you do funny things with duchess though where you dial in an s-loop and see where people move, then depending on where they go you decide to use ailerons to make yourself stressed and change your move to a white 2 straight.
