Focus, evade, stress, target locks, shields, numbers, etc. Every player that has purchased 7 or 8 expansions already owns enough that he/she'll ever need. So I'm just curious to what other players do with all those dozens of useless extra tokens. Keep them in a shoebox somewhere, toss them in the recycle bin, or something creative?
What to do with all those extra tokens?...
I haven't even punched most of mine out. I've left most of the punchcards in a storage box to one side, but I can't rightly defend why. Habit from early days, probably. Any multiples get chucked alright, but one of almost everything is in that box still.
They make a great snack for all those times I want to go buy some dinner but realize I've spent all my money on X-Wing...

I opened this thread to post this, but saw you had beaten me to it. Well done sir
I think they would fry up nicely, maybe with some onions.

7 or 8 . he he. Hi hi. <paranoid laughter>
Well at least for stress tokens you need to have a load, if you run tycho or dengaroo ![]()
Rather than keeping mine a big collection, each ship has a ziplock bag which contains the pilot cards, bases dials and a full set of tokens. This means I don't have to cart everything about or count out what each ship needs before each battle. I just get out the bag and everything I need is already in there.
Do you think I have OCD? ![]()
All of my pilot cards are in a folder, organised by faction -> ship -> pilot skill -> alt-art, and sleeved in colours to highlight faction. All of my upgrade cards are sleeved, and in a separate folder, organised by type -> value -> amount in collection -> alt-art, and tabbed into sections for faster searching. My chits and dials are two special sorter boxes, and are broken down by faction -> base size -> ship for the chits, and faction -> base size for the dials. My custom tokens are in a separate, specially sized sorter box, organised in order of frequency of use from left to right, and my custom templates sit in a custom clamshell tray that doubles as a tournament tray when moving ships from table to table.
So, no. I honestly don't think you're OCD.
I organised all of mine into a Plano.. but now even that is totally overloaded.. so i basically put everything into Ziploc's and emptied everything into a shoe box except for dials movement dials, etc.. those stay nicely organised like my cards.
I started by sorting them out by type in my Plano 5231, and then after I moved to a 732, I moved all my extra tokens to a ziplock bag. Starting about a year ago, I didn't bother punching out the extra tokens since I'll never need them, and due to the fact I've already got some acrylic tokens. It hurt my OCD when I started throwing out those cardboard tokens, but now I couldn't care less lol.
I stopped removing them from the inserts and just store those in case i want to resell expansions. That way they take up little space and don't get lost.
I've been keeping mine. Never know when you'll loose a few and need some more.
I second the snacking suggesting. Consuming them also been proven to make your dice roll better.
Boil em fry em stick em in a stew.
I stocked up on the max that would fit in a the plano slot for each and then tossed the rest from then on.
My friend has been making custom epoxy coasters, could make some cool ones with them I suppose.
Edited by JetfireI don't even punch them out and haven't for about 5 waves now. I just leave them in the cardboard they come in and use the boatload from earlier waves. I just punch out the dials and baseplates and put the rest back in the zip bag and toss them in a box.

It's actually a cookie tin, but same idea.
I have tried to throw them away but can't bring myself to do it, so I store them in a box for grabbing them whenever I lose the other ones I'm currently using.
I feed them to my mynoks they love them and they don't chew on power cables any more ![]()
At this point half of what I get in an expansion just goes into the recycling bin. Seems wasteful, but I just don't have the space in my house to keep hoarding all this crap.

Obviously he meant per ship. Right?
My biggest pile of "What do I do with this?" are the small ship bases & pegs.
I painted 4 of my bases, each a different color and a target lock to match. (It helps me keep track of which lock belongs to which ship without having to read little letters.)
The rest aren't used, so they go in a box for now at least.
Wallpaper your lounge. I swear I've got enough now.
A wonderful birthday surprise for my wife, no?

Tokens for those stress piles? You think too small

Take along a few ships that love to token up like Soontir Fel and just toss a whole handful and focus and a whole handful of evade tokens on the board. Repeat this joke every turn if possible.
