Has anyone contacted FFG and found out what the deal is on the mat size difference with the new system open mats?

Picture below has a Endor mat on top of one of the new one.

One is probably 3ft x 3ft while the other is 90cm x 90cm. Almost identical, but not quite.

There is a thread on it somewhere here, not too old.

The answer: Endor is actually 1/4" too small, the other one is 1/4" too large

I'm sure they are aware of it, and will almost certainly address it in the next update to the tournament rules.

Until then, talk to your tournament organizer ahead of time if you're not sure what's going on with the game mats at their event.
