Right now, I'm only on a Core Set and a couple of figure packs, so I have a set of those foam trays that just fit in the Core Set box. It's great for now, but once I get my first big box expansion I'm sore outta luck!

My solution looks remarkably the same...
With a detachable, mini foam tray to hold the tokens I'll need quick access to during play, like damage, strain and the like. In order to make room for the 3D doors, crates and terminals, I had to evict the probe droids and store them separately, as I ran out of places they'd fit and that their paint would be safe. So far everything else fits.
Bump. This thread is almost a year old now I thought I would bump it to see where people are at for their foam storage.
I just about pulled the trigger on the KR multicase last year but hesitated as my play time took a serious dip with a career change. Now I am back in the swing of things and have been noticing more small nicks on my figures and I need to order something like right now. Anyone have a list of the components needed with that KR multicase to store 1 of everything to date?
I use Plano pistol Cases you can get them between 25 and 40 depending on the season

You can start with the J5S-M which will give you a tray that will fit small minis that don't have either light sabers or other weapons that are tall or wide. You can order F3S which is three trays that will accommodate Darth Vaders cloak and light saber. Plus the height of some of the figures like sand people, hired guns, and other types. You can also order IA1 to store the at-st's, nexu, and the E-web engineer. You are possibly looking at either dual or quad in aluminum or not sure what in the regular cloth type bags.
I just ordered Game+ bag and foam from Miniature Market. It is pluck foam, on sale through 02/05/18 so I paid $60 total. This was a lot cheaper than the Fledherr I just hope it will work. I was going with the Feldherr, all my Armada is in this, and a Rigid tool box. I love this set up for Armada, but it is about $130 and the IA version I was planning was going to be about $150. If I don't like this setup I can use it for another game and go back to Feldherr.
You can get about 100 to 200, depending on how you pack them

Do you use the 2 or 4 pistol case. Farm & Fleet has the 4 pistol case on sale for $13.40 right now. I got 4 of them. I would love to see pictures of your setup.

Sorry , not foam storage but here's my setup on an earlier thread:
These are all wooden prefab inserts. I had to highly modify a broken token insert for card storage. They are really nice and I haven't had any notable chipping on my figures. But I don't travel very far with my stuff and I'm pretty cautious when I do. I haven't got an insert for HotE yet. I've been struggling with deciding between getting another RtH insert from Go7 or getting a game-boxed sized foam insert from feldher or US battle foam.
Also, now that I've finally added all the HotE (box and blisters) materials my card storage is getting pretty packed. For now I moved the skirmish mission cards into a card holder in the core set. But I was thinking about getting a couple LCG-003s and using my BG and TS boxes....but then I'd have to move my tiles. Arg.
Having said all of this. I would really like more expansions to compound these problems. Challenge accepted.
