VSD Super carrier

Here is my take on something I've been wanting to try, three solid combat vessels...

An ISD1 is only 25 points more than a VSD2. For that you get the equivalent of the ex hangar and the ion turrets so only 12 points in it for the bigger hull, front shield, extra flak and speed 3. Got to be worth it.

Drop enhanced armament for DTTs. Upgrades on the Gozanti can go. Speed 4 minimum doesn't need Vector and once your fighters are engaged in dogfights there is no need to have all 7 activated as you will start to take casualties and Valens is safe to leave until the squadron phase as he cant be attacked until the end game.

Howlrunner only benefits your one squadron with swarm so ditch her for Fel or Zertek with his escort and 2 brace for a tiny 3 point upgrade over a regular Tie-A.

I literally just saw that defenders don't have swarm...I've NEVER played them...

Also I went with the VSD 2 because of the blue dice hitting at longer ranger, and also perhaps getting accuracies. Also for the ISD 2 I'd have to add ECM, flight controllers and Xi7.

Why do you have Minister Tua on a ship thats not taking any defensive retrofits?

I mean a 2pt bid is better than nothing.

ISD-1 has 3 red 2 blue. So the difference isn't huge dice-wise. And if it went to a brawl, the ISD would have the advantage.

So I dropped a defender, added ecm, and threw in black squadron.
