Are we, in the same sentence, actually capable of complaining about both starter rares being in packs and exclusive cards in the starter packs?
More Starters

I'm not asking you to be optimistic, just not obtuse on the subject. You keep making statements along the lines of we'll be lucky to get one set a year when we keep getting information from different sources saying late April, late April, late April, now late April-early May. Even assuming May and then a similar timespan between 2-3 you're still lookin at 3 sets before the year anniversary. That's a fairly conservative timetable as well.
I don't think it's obtuse to observe that FFG has a spotty track record when it comes to hitting release dates. Add in all of the supply issues and I think it's actually rather fair to be skeptical, regardless of what distributors might be saying.

I find that FFG seems to have two "track records" with respect to estimating release dates. When they are vague and release something like "Expect to see this in Q2 of 2017" they are almost always too optimistic. They just cannot seem to get those right. However, as they get more specific, they tend to be more accurate (of course, they also tend to get more specific as they tend to be closer to the release date).

I would have been happier with one or the other. Make everything starter only or make everything available in the boosters. It would have been nice to purchase 2 of each starter which I did to get 2 Mind Probes and 2 Force Throws, and at the same time gotten 2 BB-8, 2 Force Robes, etc. If everything would have been in boosters I would have just picked up 1 of each starter and then not had to spend the extra $30 on starters, and found my extra cards in boosters. I don't like that I had to buy 2 of each starter and then also got 50+ starter rare cards/dice in the boxes I opened. I'm also not saying it would have changed much in the way of what I purchase and when the next starters come out I will probably do the same thing. I'm just happy that 2 out of 3 waves aren't suppose to have the starters so it won't be an issue. It was a bit sad to buy 3 packs and get 2 starter cards out of them.
I hear you, I would rather they give two of each starter exclusive per pack, but you know, monies.
no starter cards needs to be in the currently printing set that the starter is tied to, no one wants to pull something that they already got million of already it's hard enough when you pull garbage without that added factor.

I swear if I pull another BB-8....
Nah, done with packs. Saga sets FTW.

Exactly! The movie can be described as "This is Star Wars!" Another Death Star really? Another orphan on a desert planet that might as well be Tatoine? Another whiny teenager Sith? A completely flawless leading actress/ protagonist? At least in The Phantom Menace Lucas gave us NEW junk like JarJar and the pod race!
I am an idiot!

I must be the only person that enjoyed FA. I have no issues with what other people are hung up on. I just enjoyed the ride. And I enjoyed it more than Rogue 1.

Nope, I'm right there with you. TFA was everything that makes Star Wars great; Rogue One was everything that's wrong with old, terrible war movies. People who complain about a third Death Star analogue forget that R1 used one of these as a major plot point:
rogue one was one of the better movies, don't get the hate
I enjoy all the movies. Some I enjoyed more than others. Rogue 1 offered 2 of my favourite moments in Star Wars. SPOILER coming.
did you see the y-wings neutralize a star destroyer!!!! Yes take that B wing! Who thought the b wing will replace the y wing! Woot woot!
and Darth Vader killing troopers! Heck yeah!!!
but still on a while I liked FA more.

I don't mind that the Death Star is the plot point of R1. My problem is that in FA, we have a THIRD Death Star!
From an Imperial perspective, I can see the desire to possess planet killers. Alderaan and the Hosnian system were both impressive victories, so why wouldn't they keep going back and building more whenever Rebel terrorists destroyed them.
Thankfully, for the Rebellion, it always took the Empire lots of time and resources to build these things, so the Galaxy wasn't littered with them.
I think you've got me backwards, friend; I understand that people don't like having a third Death Star equivalent in TFA. I just don't understand why those same people wouldn't be bothered by the fact that Jyn's only major action scene involved a giant mechanical claw. If I wanted to watch a bad movie about people who are good at arcade games I'd drive to Walmart and buy Pixels, because at least Josh Gad can act.
TFA may have had a third Death Star, but at least Death Stars are Star Wars.
