Another crazy double ISD looking for opinions

By Visovics, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Once again fiddling around with double ISD lists, thought of this and need some opinions if it would work or not

Faction: Galactic Empire
Points: 395/400

Commander: Admiral Screed

Assault Objective: Most Wanted
Defense Objective: Hyperspace Assault
Navigation Objective: Solar Corona

Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer (110 points)
- Avenger ( 5 points)
- Rapid Launch Bays ( 6 points)
- XX-9 Turbolasers ( 5 points)
= 126 total ship cost

[ flagship ] Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer (120 points)
- Admiral Screed ( 26 points)
- Redundant Shields ( 8 points)
- Overload Pulse ( 8 points)
= 162 total ship cost

1 Bossk ( 23 points)
1 Major Rhymer ( 16 points)
4 TIE Bomber Squadrons ( 36 points)
1 Dengar ( 20 points)
1 Saber Squadron ( 12 points)

Screed isn't getting you much in this list. You have no APTs or ACMs. OL Pulse is ok and if it works it will do well with Avenger but Vader would let you reroll all blue dice fishing for that blue crit (8 or 10 rolls with CF dial). Vader would also make each volley a lot more powerful as you have no leading shots or OE at the moment.

ECM or even RBDs is better than redundant shields. Currently your list seems to be very focussed on killing one big target but not all enemy fleets will be like this. Gunnery teams will let your 2 big ships cope with swarm lists of 5+ smaller vessels and can also let you fire at squadrons and a ship from the front arc.

Do you need Rapid Launch Bays if you have Rhymer and Dengar enabling you to move about without being pinned and to shoot ships from longer ranges? I would also drop Bossk for some escort like Vader, Zertek or Tempest squadron. You need to keep Rhymer, and particularly Dengar, alive for 2-3 turns of intense combat.

For the objectives Most wanted is better when you have a tiny ship you can make the objective whilst selecting a pricy enemy ship you think you can kill. Advanced gunnery or Station assault would be better. Hyperspace assault gets you nothing as you have only large ships so try Contested Outpost.

I was thinking of dropping the 4 bombers safely into the combat

You cant have 2 Vaders (squadron and admiral) so what about Tempest squadron or Zertek and then a set of Gunnery teams for the ISD-II.

there's always a tiny detail that cuts me out...
