When is Armada?!?1 I need to get off work.
Will Armada be all 5 days? I thought it was 3 last time.
Undeaddude, it is May 3rd-7th. May 3 is Day one of Armada, May 4th is day two. If you click like you are a big shot regional winner it has the info there.
May 4th also happens to be my birthday.
Hmmmm, I read the " All players will reconvene for Day 2 on Thursday, May 4th at 9am." as being a little weird because I thought half the players play the 1st day, which looks to be May 3rd, and the other half the day after. Why would all the players get together on day 2?
They could be doing it in one "shot" this time...
3 Games on Day 1. 1-2 Games on Day 2, then Cut. Depending on Numbers they give us.
Because it looks like only Card Game and Armada are starting on the 3rd, it looks like.
Desinty and X-Wing are specifically split into 1A and 1B days.
Well that's no good. I can't get off work Wednesday-Friday. May have to pass this year which really pisses me off.

Yeah that is what I'm thinking. 4-5 rounds and then the top 4 in a cut. Hopefully with almost the entire Mothership playing Armada. I wonder how many tables fit there...
I am planning on going to worlds. I may have a new job by then so that may hurt my odds of making it out but as of right now, the plan is world and nationals (already booked up nationals)

Man so much pressure to get in on the tickets when they come out. I really hope there are more slots this year.

Yeah, really hope we don't get hosed on slots. They have all that extra space this year, but also they're doing us all in one heat apparently, so... I dunno.
That said, I do like that everyone will be getting the same amount of rest for the finals this year.
How quickly did general tickets sell out last time?

Armada seemed like it was a day or two, but really, it was a couple of hours with all of the reshufflement. Last time was not good to judge by.
Others disappeared in minutes.

The tournament space at the Fantasy Flight Game Center can hold around (at least?) 40-50 games of Armada, I believe. At least, that's what I recall from counting spaces when I played on Tuesday. They also use the open gaming space during World's. Naturally, this will be split with the Star Wars Card Game tourney as well. If you're really curious about space, I can ask tomorrow when I'm there.

You should ask how many they anticipate/max slots and if they will get larger tables. I doubt you will get a straight answer, but it's worth a try. I've tried to email and ask stuff, like when the exact dates for worlds is and I never get a reply.
You're probably right that I won't get a straight answer, but the support staff (the ones that actually arrange the space) might have some idea about how many tables they can possibly set up in there.

Honestly, any info you can get would be great so I wouldn't worry too much about what they tell you. They will let us know after they take their sweet time writing stuff up.
Well good luck to all those who go. May your dice be hot and your games go well ![]()
The staff there told me they have at least 30 long tables that fit two games each. That'd be 60 games at once in the main hall, plus whatever space they'd make use of in the general gaming space. Split between Armada and the Star Wars Card game. He was quick to point out that the back space holds more than 400 when arranged as a banquet hall, if that gives you an indication of size.*
Hope that's helpful.
