Add to the autofire quality that each time you trigger it, you need not only to spend advantages on it, but as well one success as with each additional shot recoil and weapon stability becomes more of an issue. This small little mod to the quality is a lot better than just banning the weapon type or jury rigging from your game table while at the same time has only little effects when using autofire for one or two extra hits.

I like the house rule I got here and just link total number of hits possible with an unsupported weapon to Brawn score. Elegant and no real math.

I like that one, 2P51. I generally just say that they upgrade (not increase) the difficulty by the total number of hits they want to achieve. I guess it's just my Shadowrun background peeking through. I like the increased chance for Despairs that let the gun jam or run out of ammo. I still don't allow Jury rig with autofire, though. Three advantage for three hits is just far too much.
