that's what I as about to say...
No Disintegrations UK
14 minutes ago, OddballE8 said:It makes you wonder, though... Is the EU really such a small part of FFG's market share that they simply don't care if we all stop buying their stuff?
Actually I honestly think the USA market is their only concern.
30 minutes ago, OddballE8 said:You know... this is the kind of behavior that drives people to piracy.
You make this sound like it would be a bad thing.
FFG has no digital licence, I am entitled to my private copy anyway, I am actually paying good money on my storage devices for this right and Asmodee is getting good money from this too. If FFG delivers their books in time or within 18 months after release is basically of little concern for most practical purpose. They just have to make sure that their stuff is not out of print and that's it.
I doubt anyone will prefer some scans over a good book in their hands either, so its just delayed income for FFG, outside of those cases when they really piss their customers off with the long wait, but those are not the ones who will not grab digital copies as interim solution either.
Edited by SEApocalypseI have to admit...as a big fan of FFG and their games...I am still royally ****ed about this. Never has my FLGS had a problem getting a book. I should know, I have the full collection of books, and I work there so I'd be the first to know if it was arriving. For some reason, though, No Disintegrations has been a b***h to get ahold of, and it is incredibly upsetting to me who runs 3 games of the Star Wars RPG, and plays X-Wing every week, as well as create YouTube content for X-Wing to be treated like this.
Where the hell did the books go? and more importantly, why are you ignoring us FFG?...Why have you not said anything? A simple "This is the problem, this is how we are going to fix it" would suffice. Something to tide is over.
But no, you have my money and loyalty and now you think you can screw around. Well, I can only take so much. If I don't get my hands on Ghost of Dathomir, Disciples of Harmony, OR Fully Operational, I am going to be extremely unhappy. However, I think I'm going to be more upset if I walk into my FLGS and can buy one of those books yet for some reason I am still waiting for No Disintegrations.
As people have said, the merger with Asmodee assured us of better distribution within Europe, well I am sorry, but we have yet to see evidence of that, and me in particular:
- No Sign of No Disintegrations.
- Delayed LCG packs
- U-Wing and TIE Striker for X-Wing were out everywhere else before Christmas, Europe had to wait until January for them.
Sort your s**t out, because right now you are messing your customers about and not even talking to us about it or any form of meaningful apology.
To all my fellow European players, I encourage you when Order 66 do their episode on No Disintegrations to post a question to the post in a polite and respectful manner requesting that FFG answer this distribution issue.
Edited by EbakI've just e-mailed Asmodee, and FFG across various departments a long e-mail about the displeasure of the European customer base regarding this and demanding that we get some kind of statement or report. I'd like to think it is going to get somewhere...however my cynical side says it's all for naught. I have hope though.
I don't hate FFG, I want your products, the problem is, I can get them from my FLGS as I usually can. I want to support the place where I actually play my games and I don't want to pay someone on ebay in America or Australia 3 times what the book is worth over here just to get it. That doesn't support my FLGS AND costs me much more than it should.

Have to admit I'm kinda surprised that someone from FFG hasn't taken the opportunity to comment on this thread.
As Ebak says, an explanation would keep most of us happy! At least it would show that they understand our frustration at not being able to get hold of the book'
I believe it's FFG policy to not comment on their forums. But that may just be a Dev policy. I have no insight on the matter.
Those that were regulars on WotC forums can attest to why that policy is in place.

Depends on the Company, Some WotC Staff were on the Old Spelljammer webring ( it was like a message board but with emails.. rooted through their sever ) before it got closed by WotC... Though they Never made any official statements there.
Having staff speak on Forums can be both good and bad, If they say something they shouldn't it can be quite embarrassing. I know for a fact GW staff could get into lots of problems for doing so. Freelances might , might get more freedom now, but I remember several people basically were a hairs width away for being fired.
They shouldn't Ignore the Forums as several other companies do, but Some Interaction like monthly / Quarterly Q&A's would be nice. though id ask why I still cant get books months after their supposed release date.
Well, I got an email from Asmodee responding to my query regarding the book's availability: "Thank you for contacting Asmodee North America’s Customer Service and Parts Replacement Department. We appreciate your inquiry and are happy to assist you with your outstanding issue."
Only, I didn't actually contact their North American Customer Service and Parts Replacement Department, but hey...
After some very helpful text about getting replacement parts (which I haven't asked for), they end with: "If you have another general inquiry, we will respond in person as soon as we can. We thank you for your patience as you wait."
Ok....and then...
"Here at Asmodee North America, we want to give you the best gaming experience possible, and we are always happy to hear from our customers! We appreciate your email and your patronage."
Well, that's nice, but maybe they could show some appreciation by actually answering the question I asked?? Just saying....

Working in a call center that also handles email support, one phrase leaps out at me here: " If you have another general inquiry, we will respond in person as soon as we can."
We have a standard auto-reply to initial email questions that includes a common scenario or two, as an acknowledgment that the email was received. Our email agents then respond to the emails that aren't covered by the auto-response in the order they were received.
That's what this looks like to me.
Edited by NytwyngThat's fair enough, although this was the response I got three days after the initial mail, which had already generated an auto-response.
To be honest, I'm not really expecting a proper answer. I CAN say that I've used FFG's parts replacement service before now when I had an issue with some X-Wing stuff and they were brilliant, and with limited resources, I'd much rather they focussed on maintaining THAT service above any general enquiries.
It would be nice to get a quick update or something though, just to let us know whats happening with the book.
I have received an email from Esdevium Games, one of the distributors here in the UK that is part of the Asmodee company:
Hi Ebak,
I’m so sorry, we have experienced some delays in getting this item available in Europe. I can inform you that I am expecting stock on “No Disintegrations” to be available at the end of March – 30 /03/17
Please accept my humble apology for the delay. I hope the book is all you are expecting when we finally make copies available
Take Care
Kind regards,
Oliver McAllister

Now, this could be simply them giving us a date to please us, but I am hopeful that it is true and I am pleased Esdevium took the time to return my email. Still disappointed it didn't come from Asmodee or FFG, but it is at least something.
Maybe it is just a date plucked out the air. I'm just pished I didn't get a first edition print run copy like all my other stuff apart from Core rules... at least the 30th March is something but by now I'm not putting much hope in it.
Seriously though, FFG must have known or been aware of the demand for NoDis. An extra 100 copies above usual print run would probably have served the UK and/or Europe. Maybe the European stock is held up over some bull Brexit back sliding, so we'll get first edition but at a later date.

I doubt a second print run would be out this fast. I think it's more likely that there have been delays. I am hopeful this information is accurate and I'll have my hands on the book in 2 weeks.
Well, after a 6 month hiatus after my last two year saga it's close to Star Wars time again. Knowing that this would be the book of most interest to my players I thought I'd just jump on Amazon and get my copy to hassle. Surprise! Oh, and I'm in the USA for a full disclaimer. The only place I can find it is at a 70% markup by toy hoarders who scooped them up and are flipping them on eBay and Amazon (remember when Amazon actually carried stock on the books they sold instead of using third parter flippers?). I thought I'd come here to the FFG Webstore but it's out of stock with no option to opt for an email when a new printing is available.
I don't know if any information has been provided but is there another printing planned? Also, why did they under-run this book so badly knowing it would be the most popular sourcebook yet?
Any information is welcome.

If I had to guess, I would say that they probably underestimated the number of people who would buy so many copies and then try to flip them.
They may have also run into printing and/or distribution problems.
But you’re definitely not the only one to have such problems. ;(
Midnight, Miniatures Market still have No Disintegration for sale at a discount with cheap shipping. Don't give money to the evil scalpers.
Thanks to all in the community who suggested Miniatures Market! I had no idea they were so fair. The book is on its way and it cost $25 vs. the real MSRP of $30 (rounding up). All but one of the books I need are in stock at fair market value. Good on them for running an honest business in today's climate!
This Australian store says they have 20+ of No Distingerations in stock: HERE

I had a similar response to a Facebook message I sent Esdevium, they said No Disintegrations should be releasing next week. Time will tell, but I'm not going to cancel my pre-order with Gameslore at this point - it's not their fault it's taking this long for stock to materialise.

Well my emails to FFG have come back with nothing, but based on the Esdevium reply, i'm hoping for my pre-order copy from Gameslore in the next couple of weeks too.

If anywhere is going to get some copies in the UK, Gameslore is likely to get some first. I have a pre-order with them as well.

HEY!!! That's the UK stock, give it back *cries - mommy they not playing nice*
Seriously, though the cloud seems to be getting a silver lining, maybe cold chromed steel instead
I'll be chuffed if this and Ghosts of Dathomir arrive together, as is looking possible now.
I notice there's a Staff tab at the top of this page - was anyone tried contacting FFG that way?
