Demo lets you attack post movement and Flight Commander let's you activate squads post movement.

If I move and attack with demo can I either:

1) move, attack, activate squads or

2) move, activate squads, and then attack?

Both. You decide.

Can you move, attack, and then engine tech?

Yes, and then you can use Flight Commander.

All three effects--Demo attack, FC squadrons, and ET--have the same timing. In addition, ET itself is a maneuver, which triggers both the Demo attack and FC squadrons. So you can do all three in any order you want.
