Do you think this game will get any kind of expansion and if so how many to you think? I am thinking maybe three due to the downloadable content for the game. So what does everybody think?

I sure hope so! I see 2-3 tops unfortunately to cover the other demons and mission types. More if the new doom game this edition is based off of has some in depth dlc

It has I think four dlc content. So I could see it going two or three expansions for it. I hope that it does get at least one. Only time will tell if it does. I think it would be stupid if they didn't do a expansion for it. It just seems like FFG is ignoring this game in favor of the others. I do understand they have a lot on their plate but hope this game does not get ignored.

I think one, at least, is a given. Jon Ying hinted in a thread on BGG that the tons of extra frag tokens that come with the game might be used for a Deathmatch expansion. I highly doubt that the number of DLCs for the PC game will have any bearing on the number of this game's expansions though (although I wouldn't be shocked to see some of the DLC content to show up in the board game).

After that though, it'll probably depend on how well the game sells. Luckily, on that front, the game's gotten good reviews and it seems like Amazon is having a hard time keeping the game in stock for more than a few days after they get a new shipment.

I wouldn't say FFG is "ignoring the game" though; it's been out for less than two months. I wouldn't expect news of an expansion for at least a couple more. Give 'em some time, see how well the game sells, and keep your fingers crossed I guess.

Ya, No ignoring just yet. Wait at least a business quarter to hear about future expansions.

Given that Doom is now on the reprint list it must be selling ok, so I would say the chance of an expansion is looking good.

I'm honestly not sure if it needs one, but I guess there are a few Demon types which could be added.

That's easy. We need Archviles, we need Hellknights, we need Lost Souls, Hellrazers... There are the multiplayer-only demons they added.. Spider Mastermind, perhaps? Or what about the boss from Necropolis?

For marines, Praetor Suit. We all want it! They also left out the lightning gun, and some of the altfire modes. More types of game tiles, more mission types... If they add any new demons, we need new sets of threat cards. There are the powerups, as if marines needed any more **** help with winning, and possibly we could see a revision of Solo Operative rules to prevent them from becoming Sonic the Hedgehog on their turns.
