Objective: building a fun and easy to fly Sabine's Tie. My first flight with this toy and I am mixing old and new ships and upgrades to help returning to the game a player who stopped playing before wave 4.
Sabine (15), Sabine's Masterpiece (1), EMP Device (2). What I need is one Crewmember and one EPT from the last waves. Easy to understand upgrades and fun on the table.
Crew: Cassian Andor or Inspiring Recruit.
EPT: Lighting Reflexes, Snapshot, Adaptability.
Suggestions?
I think Ahsoka with VI, Captured TIE, title, EMP and crew of your choice is a lot of fun....Cassian or Intelligence Agent in particular. Against most ships, she can act as a spy, while also handing out actions. Throw in the EMP for some control.
Edited by gennataosI ran Sabine/PtL/Masterpiece/Targeting Computer/Rey/EMP Device (25 total) last week. It was fun, sent a 2400 off the board with the EMP. Rey is nice to save up Focus for later, so you can Focus/Evade/reposition/TargetLock all at once if necessary. That said, I was also playing PtL Wedge/BB8 and Bodhi Rook for the rest of the list, so TC was more useful because of Bodhi.
Sabine is one of my favorite Rebel pilots, just wish both of her Rebel rides weren't quite so fragile.
Edit: Just saw you were looking at stuff from the more recent waves. I'd still recommend Rey, though I'm not sure what recent EPT you might use.
Edited by EisaiLightning Reflexes doesn't pair especially well with Sabine's ability. It stresses her, which locks her out of her pilot ability on the turn after she uses it.
Though it would also allow her to barrel roll backwards, do a hard turn in that direction, and then flip around. That could be nuts.
Snapshot with Intel Agent would also be decent with her ability, but has limited value against lower PS.
There's also the classic PTL/Kanan Jarrus combo. As long as she doesn't start her activation while stressed, she can enter every round of combat with a Focus, evade, and no stress tokens. You can add a Targeting Computer for more offense, but that generally works better with the Attack Shuttle version.

Interesting sugestions. I will go 100% sure with Sabine, Masterpiece and EMP. PtL + Kanan is quite atractive to me... Kanan is one of those good crewmembers that my pal has never seen on the table. He is seen quite often and quite simple.
I will try this. Rey was on the table yesterday so better Kanan. PtL and Tie allows you to dodge and barrel roll, fly crazy and perform weird moves. Then EMP...
It is quite shocking to play with one opponent that quitted playing before Phantom and E wings were released. He asked a hard core gamer if that "weird" Defender Titles were seen often on the tables... A 40 years old well grown player with worn out dials and play aids on the table (wave 3 era) asking about Tie/X.

Sabine's Tie, Twin Ion Engine Mk II, Push the limit - super fun, super maneuverable.
If you add masterpiece, you can add intel agent and cloaking or EMP - more cost though.
