What are peoples' thoughts on using these two upgrades on the ISD-I?

Nice. Combo with OE to get some worthwhile damage out those side arcs.

I really like using Ion Turbines on an ISD-I, it does make the side arc just that bit more threatening. As Ardaehel says, OE's as well.

I'll vouch for it. Wrecked my little ships somethin' fierce!

Ion turbines do, H9 doesn't as its much less useful against MC30s. So its very meat dependent and list dependent.

Yeah, the redundant defense tokens definitely help the MC30s.

What is still nice about H9 is that you get use out of the front arc as well.

I feel that XI7 or Spinals are still a better choice most of the time (as they don't reduce damage output)

Spinal doesn't mesh well with ion turbines, so xi7.

Well... I mean, even with turbines, you're still angling for that double arc. So, not exactly anti-synergistic, just no particular positive synergy.

But, if you're worried about MC30's (you really shouldn't be, how bad could they be?), then yeah, XI7 all day errday.

Yes they are, and this is a reason I don't use HCIT as much as I would like to. Spinals usually win that fight.

MC80 with a way to fix the reds maybe? Like DTT?

Ask my opponent from round 2 of the cc campaign im playing lol, he lost his ISD to a mc30 and a couple of squadrons
